Traveler reviews
A really enjoyable and interesting afternoon
This was a very enjoyable and interesting way to spend 90 minutes in Edinburgh a bit differently. Great value for money, our guide had a wonderfully dry sense of humour and we saw/ learned about parts of the city’s history that we might otherwise have missed. It was quite a big group. We were right to follow the guide’s witchy stick that she held high for us so we didn’t get lost in the crowds. It’s an entry level of spookiness so please don’t be put off if you scare easily.
Little communication and...
Little communication and nebulous meeting point. Not giving a grace period for people confused about where precisely to go is a really poor business practice. If you decide to take this tour, make sure that you are early.
Endlessly entertaining
Our guide was phenomenal incredibly knowledgeable and a fantastic storyteller. She balanced chilling local history with great humor, making the tour both fascinating and a lot of fun. Five stars!
A fascinating insight into past lives
This is an excellent blend of history and ghost stories, in our case vividly presented by Brendon, who combines a natural knack of storytelling with detailed local knowledge and an unmistakable enthusiasm for his subject. Our tour was in turns enlightening, touching, shocking, funny and genuinely spooky. Highly recommended for anyone who would like to learn more about Edinburgh's seedy and often violent past.
Must See!
This was an excellent tour! Diva did a fabulous job balancing teaching us history about the graveyard and vaults while keeping it spooky with ghost stories. I learned a lot and my whole group really enjoyed themselves. I would highly recommend this tour! Auld Reekie Tours was also extremely kind and helpful when I made a booking mistake.
