Hop aboard an open-air safari-style truck from your Punta Cana or Bavaro hotel, and set out into the Anamuya mountains. During the rollicking ride, soak up the stunning seascapes and tropical countryside, dotted with pastel-colored cottages. As your knowledgeable guide provides engaging commentary, look out for horses, donkeys, hens and bulls grazing or resting in the shade. Also, the Dominican Republic is well-known for its cigars. At the trapiche, listen to generations-old master craftsmen explain how they harvest tobacco and roll them into sought-after cigars. Break for lunch at a mountaintop restaurant pavilion, and dig into a delicious buffet with refreshing beer, smooth rum and non-alcoholic drinks to accompany your meal. George and King was great for our Monkeyland safari. George made us very knowledgeable about the country and the monkeys were the best part. Great value for the money that includes transportation from hotel, coffee, drinks, and the safari 👏👏👏
Awesome
Very comprehensive, as you can see things you would never see if you stay at the hotel: cocoa, coffee, sugar, cinnamon, ..., life in the countryside and also in Higüei and at Macao beach. As a bonus, he included a horseback riding activity. The guide Amado and the driver Isaac made the day great. To mention a drawback, the activity was in Spanish and ultimately it was in both English and Spanish.
Best DR Tour
Full day of adventure and it was well worth it. The tour does include a buffet and it is delicious. Unfortunately, I do not remember our tour guides name but I did attach his picture and was great. Our driver, Felix, was awesome as well! I would definitely book this tour again!
Amazingly fun and informative!
This was a wonderful experience! Angel was the perfect tour guide - engaging, funny, knowledgeable, and compassionate! One of the members of our group passed out from the heat and Angel jumped into action and continued to check in with him. I wouldn’t have wanted anyone else. Luciano, our driver, was kind and drove safely. They were an amazing duo and if they can get any kind of recognition or bonus, please give it to them. They deserve it all!
