An Absolute Must if You Want to Experience the True Essence of Goa

I had a beautiful experience with Rachana and Make it Happen on Divar island. Rachana is storyteller through and through. Right from the inception of the walk she had our group of 5 captured with her beautiful sketches of the Island until the end where she so beautifully brings the place to life with her passion and connection to Goa. Ends with a beautiful musical performance from a local talent artist and snacks/lunch in a traditional Indo Portuguese house with a warm and delightful host. Beautiful curation! Keep it up.

Hidden Stories & Beautiful Surprises at Divar Island

I was casually looking for information about Goa when I came across Make It Happen, and I decided to book a tour to Divar Island. At first, I was told there’s nothing much to see there and that transport like taxis might be difficult, so I felt a bit upset. But once I visited, everything completely changed. The storyteller made this experience truly special. He didn’t just guide us, he brought the place to life with his deep knowledge of history, culture, and local stories. On Divar Island, I saw beautiful church, a peaceful fishing point, and old walls that tell so many stories. We also explored pre-Portuguese era temple ruins and a Shiva temple with such serene and scenic views, it all felt so meaningful and full of history. The first surprise was live music, which was beautiful and unexpected. The second surprise was sweet snacks, which made the experience even more personal and thoughtful. At that moment, I truly felt very special… like a princess ❤️ Usually, when you visit, a guide will explain the history, which is already good, but getting surprises like this makes the whole visit so thoughtful and unforgettable. Even without surprises, the guide is very awesome, but with these efforts, the experience goes beyond words. Make It Happen truly has such amazing people, real hidden gems. And our storyteller was just incredible. His name is Pawan ✨ This experience is something I will always remember, and I truly feel everyone should try this at least once.

Divar experience

This was an experience full of history, culture and stories of Divar’s past. Right from the paddy fields, to the rich Indo-portuguese architecture and Indian history, this was an experience like no other. Our host Swayne was amazing storyteller and friendly, as she patiently answered all our questions about divar island and gave us such historical insights which left us mesmerised. One of the best thing about this trip with Make It Happen is the cultural immersion- that is a friendly conversation with a local goan family with an amazing home cooked mean with some live local music on the side. I’d 100% recommend this trip to someone who is looking to find something more meaningful and full of history in goa than just beaches and clubs!

Divar Island visit

Swynny has made our Divar island trip a very special one and she is very knowledgeable. It was a great experience knowing the history and people living in the island with some snacks in one of those residents living in the island. Overall a peaceful experience with a bit of learning as well.
