I regret to inform you that after having booked this tour 60 days in advance, traveling from another continent especially to have the experience of this tour which includes professional study reasons, at the moment of departure they tell us that this trip is not taking place. The unexpected situation is indescribable. After requesting and earnestly asking for a solution, they confirmed by giving us another destination that did not interest us and was not in our plans.
Great tour to check box both Oxford and Cambridge in a day.
Eileen the guide was excellent, so is Majid the driver. Very informative tour with her speaking clearly in English and when have chance Eileen even speaks in Chinese with me. Only setback is can too rush at times especially if someone in the group do not follow the time given by the guide and everyone will be delayed because the two location is pretty far apart. But overall is still great to have visited both top universities the same day.
Lack of time.
Doing these two such interesting cities on the same day means you cannot even see the most essential things in each of them. And if it also rains like it did today, even less so. But I am leaving happy because of the help and kindness of the guide Peter and the good work of the driver.
Detour
We originally booked a tour for Leeds Castle, Canterbury and Dover, but it was cancelled. Unfortunately the cancellation was lost in 500 emails and was a surprise when we arrived. Fortunately, our eventual Guide Peter was able to fit us into this tour to Cambridge and Oxford. We enjoyed the trip and Peter’s knowledge of history of both locations was a bonus.
