Tuan was a great guide -...
Tuan was a great guide - very knowledgeable and commanding as a war veteran himself. Would highly recommend taking this tour to learn more about the Vietnam War
Just Fantastic
What a perfect organization. Everything was arranged to perfection. Our guide was fantastic. Spoke clear English and gave us good information about the war.
A tour with plenty of history, adventure and mosquitoes
The limo was spacious and private. Our guide was very knowledgeable and gave us a good history lesson. We were first taken to a shop selling lacquer based artwork and strongly encouraged to buy souvenirs to support the makers who were handicapped. The tunnels were fun but the steps were steep and the tunnels were very narrow - we basically had to walk crouching down which can be hard on the back and knees. It would have been better if they had warned us about the mosquitoes - otherwise I would have worn insect repellent and long sleeves/pants (since it’s a Dengue prone area). There were also a few small bats inside the tunnels which luckily didn’t scratch/bite us. We tried tapioca with peanuts and sugar topping to “eat like the Viet Cong”. Lunch was separate in a touristy restaurant that was satisfying and clean.
Cu Chi tunnels with Tuan, a veteran
Had a great time today visiting the Chu Chi tunnels. Had opportunity to be in the tunnels and learn about the history, as well as fire an AK47 rifle. Our trip was made more poignant by our guide Tuan who is a veteran from the war, he was informative and humorous. Coach was clean, comfortable and cool. Would definitely recommend this tour and our guide.
The best tour I've had, thanks to Big Dave.
We had Big Handsome David as our Guide and I have to say he was the best guide I've ever had. He was very funny but also very informative and helpful especially with his recommendations with places to eat and sites to see whilst in Saigon. We learnt so much from Big Dave about the history of Vietnam and its people and I am very grateful for that. I'd say this tour is easily a 5 star tour and I would reccomend it to anyone.
