If you only do two tours in Vietnam, do this one twice
This was one of the best tours I have ever done, partly, in fact chiefly, because our guide was fantastic. Tuan who served in the Viet Communist army, brought us to see the sights and had so much information. Wonderful informative and also a reminder of man’s blind indifference to his fellow man.

Our guide shared personal stories and lived memories that brought every section of the site to life—from explaining the psychological reality of living underground for weeks at a time to detailing how soldiers navigated the tunnel. He spoke with immense grace, honesty, and depth, answering every question with nuance and patience. His knowledge of the terrain, trap designs, and underground bunker logistics was unmatched. He took the time to point out subtle details around the site that most large tour groups completely walked past, explaining not just what happened, but how people managed to adapt and survive under severe conditions. If you are planning a trip to Cu Chi, do everything you can to request a veteran guide. It offers a rare, human perspective on history that you will remember long after the tour ends. Great experience. Our guide Theo was well spoken , infomative and had great energy. The pick up drop off service was a breeze and a great help with young kids. The tunnels were an eye opener to the lived experience of the soldiers . Bring plenty of water and battery operated fans, the tunnels get HOT.
