Cliffs of Moher are a gamble and we lost!

I can't blame the tour for the weather at the Cliffs of Moher which was the biggest reason we went. It was completely obscured with fog and rain and you could barely see anything in front of you, much less the cliffs or water. So we stood in the visitor center for 1 hr 45 mins with loads of other buses! Note- sit on the left side of the bus as the pass by views along the coast are best on that side and our driver Sarah (sp?) seemed to be anxious to get back as we flew through the curves like we were in a hurry. Did not get to see some of the highlighted views. Galway was worthless. We were dropped off by shopping area which was dirty and very overcrowded. Weekend in summer is not the time to go there. Could have stayed in Dublin where it was cleaner and less foot traffic. Our tour guide never stopped talking- way too many stories about himself, milk and potato addiction, and pushing us to buy milk and crisps at each stop! It would have been different if we got to see the cliffs but for us was a total waste of 12 hours. Tour description stated 13 hrs but the driver made sure we got back an hour early. So lesson is we gambled on the weather and lost. Should have rented a car and driven on our own timeframe.

Awesome trip

My husband and I enjoyed the trip. So much. I wished for a little longer time at the castle, but other than that. It was perfect Maria our tour guide was so knowledgeable and sweet. And Michael is such a good driver kept us safe and on time.

One of the BEST Tours in All of Ireland!

This was one of the best tours we have done while enjoying Ireland. This tour had the most for the value, definitely best bang for your buck! Our tour guide Owen was stellar!! He was engaging with everyone from the moment we started until when we all departed! He was knowledgeable and extremely enthusiastic. He played great music and is a truly gifted storyteller. You can teach facts and dates, but you can’t teach someone how to deliver the information with charisma. Owen was the most charismatic tour guide we had here in Ireland. He’s very passionate and it showed. Owen even taught me how to play the bodhran! The packing of this tour was great. Dunluce Castle was incredible to see! The landscape was stunning. Giants Causeway is amazing in person, the photos do not do it justice. The final stop in Belfast was very informative. An absolutely wonderful tour that I highly recommend!!

This is well worth the trip! I in general just wanted to see the Cliffs but seeing Galway was cool too. The drive was actually really exciting because random ruins would pop up. We also passed through a very rocky area that I didn't know existed in Ireland! We learned a lot about the Irish history on the way but also had nice quiet moments like right at the beginning since it was early in the morning. They let us sleep through most of the ride there. Then on the way back when everyone was tired. It was perfect! 🥰

We loved our cliffs of moher and galway experience with Podhraig and JP. JP was an excellent driver and Podhraig was friendly and provided a thorough history of the various sites that we saw while also providing humor and a musical flair. Highly recommend!

Kevin and Casper were great hosts, despite the misty weather with the cliffs Kevin was able to keep the energy positive and it was a nice day out. Casper was a great driver knew just when to beep his horn to tell slow drivers to wake up 😁😁

Our trip to Cliffs of Moher with Padhraig and Paolo was fabulous. Padhraig is a multi-talented guide, great insights of Ireland history, musical performance on the way. Paolo navigated the thoroughfares with a smooth and safe ride. In Galway Padhrig gave a brief and informative background of the town and shopping. Can’t forget Paolo dropped us at a very convenient spot that was easy for us to find. Really hope we can do another tour with Paolo and Padhraig from Wild Rover Tours!

Our guide to the Cliffs of Moher and Galway, Padhraig, made the day. He sang, Oh my gosh, thank you well, played a tin whistle, and Irish pipes. If that wasn’t enough, he was funny and kind and told wonderful stories. Our driver., Paolo, Smoothly navigated Narrow roads and modern highways with ease. We Highly recommend this tour by Wild River Tours!!!

We were on a trip to Cliffs of Moher and Galway today. We really enjoyed seeing the countryside as we made our way. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate, heavy fog, so we didn't get to see the cliffs. Galway was a nice little stop. Lots of little shops and restaurants. Padraig (hope I have that right) was a great guide and lovely musician. We were at the back and had a difficult time hearing him at times. Paolo was a wonderful driver. I don't know how the dri vers manage on those roads. Would recommend Wild Rovers!

Great experience! Michael was our driver and David was our guide and they made the trip so worth it. We did the titanic museum and Giants Causeway, which were so surreal. Lots of rest stop breaks and food opportunities for the longish drive. I wish the titanic museum time was longer but seeing Dunluce Castle and the smaller stops along the way make the short museum experience worth it. David is a great guide with funny stories and his vast knowledge of the country and rich history. Amazing day, it was my favorite of the trip!
