Busstur til Nord Irland via Belfast fra Dublin
Behagelig busstur.

Great trip!
We had a fabulous trip despite the weather. It was unfortunately windy and foggy at the cliffs. We did get a 15 minute window where we could see it and snap a few pictures. We had free time in Galway and passed it quite easily. So many places to eat and shop at. I love how pedestrian friendly it was too. Daithi was an amazing guide who shared many stories and also music to tell the stories. Our driver Kacper was amazing as some of the coastal roads are narrow and wind around!

We covered a lot of ground and saw a lot. It was nice to see parts of Ireland beyond the city of Dublin. The Cliffs of Moher were impressive! Although it was too foggy to see anything when we first got there, it did clear up enough to see some great views. The drive along the Atlantic Way was also impressive. Our tour guide Matt did a great job and was very informative, making the trip fun along the way! We came away from the tour with a wealth of knowledge about Ireland.

I was booked on a Wild Rover Tours trip to Belfast the morning after a night of severe rioting. Cars, businesses, and homes were being set on fire, and I genuinely feared for my safety. In the middle of the night, I emailed the company to ask whether the tour was still considered safe to operate and explained that I was very concerned about travelling under those circumstances. Their response was simply that the tour would be going ahead, they would be keeping my money, and that was essentially the end of the conversation. There was no empathy, no reassurance, no acknowledgment of the extraordinary situation, and no attempt to work with me. I lost about $140, but my personal safety is worth far more than that. What disappointed me most wasn’t the money—it was the company’s apparent lack of concern for a customer’s well-being during an exceptional and potentially dangerous situation. Customer service is tested when things don’t go according to plan. In this case, I felt completely dismissed. Based on this experience, I would not choose to do business with Wild Rover Tours again, nor would I recommend them to anyone who values responsive, customer-focused service.

Dunluce Castle and the Giant’s Causeway were absolutely impressive. These are truly places worth visiting and were the highlights of the trip. As for Belfast… unfortunately, I was not lucky with this part of the tour. We saw almost nothing apart from the City Hall and a pub. If you are given the option to stay with the group or explore the city on your own, I would strongly recommend exploring independently — you will probably see much more than with this local guide. Now, about the disadvantages. The advertised Wi-Fi on the bus was not available. The entire connection was used by the guide for presentations and videos that, as far as I could see, nobody was watching. However, she continued with them regardless. The main issue was that the guide seemed focused on delivering information rather than responding to the actual needs of the passengers. She approached everyone asking “How are you?” and “Where are you from?”, but often interrupted answers and did not really listen. At the same time, when passengers had genuine needs, they were ignored. For example, I was wearing four layers of clothing, including a jacket, because the temperature on the bus was uncomfortably low. The guide refused to adjust the air conditioning and spent several minutes repeating that she would not turn it off, instead of trying to find a solution. The idea of writing departure times on a board was good in principle. However, the board was left facing inside the bus, so passengers outside could not see the information. This made the solution ineffective. During the whole journey, a lot of the guide’s attention was focused on flags that upset her and on repeatedly discussing why the police did not remove them. There was also a repeated habit of putting the tour map directly in front of passengers, as if they could not read their own tickets or understand the information already provided. The places themselves are fantastic, but unfortunately the experience was significantly affected by the guide’s attitude and lack of attention to passengers’ actual needs. One final note: after the tour, I could not find any option to leave a review either through the booking platform or on the Wild Rover Tours website. The website only displays selected positive reviews, but there is no visible option for customers to submit their own feedback. It is disappointing that feedback seems to be actively requested after some tours, while after this particular experience there was no clear way to share comments. A transparent review system should allow passengers to share both positive and negative experiences, as this is the best way for a company to improve its service.

This day trip was awesome, despite the fog when we got to the Cliffs of Moher. It cleared up a bit towards the end of the time we were there, so we were still able to see the cliffs. The guide, Matt, was very friendly and knowledgeable sharing lots of tidbits of history and local traditions and culture. The driver, Steven, was also very friendly and skillful.

Great tour stops, but no texting while driving please!
We toured Giant’s Causeway and Belfast plus a short stop at Dun Luce castle. It was a beautiful day and the stops were very interesting and scenic. Maurice was our tour guide and kept things on track from a timing perspective albeit a bit strict with some of the other passengers who didn’t speak English as well as he did. I am rating this as 3 stars because the driver Patrick, was continually texting and checking his messages while driving. This includes having to type his unlock code and navigate through apps. He would read and type messages. At one point he even took a video call from what appeared to be a girlfriend or wife and all of this while driving a bus with 50+ people at higher speed. I finally had to speak up and ask him to stop since I had witnessed at least 10 incidents of this already and we were about to enter a tunnel on the way back to Dublin. I said “please stop texting and driving. It is dangerous while driving, especially in a tunnel.” He did stop but I don’t know if the next day he started right back up with the same behavior.
