The tour itself was excellent, being able skip lines was a godsend. The tour guide was passionate about Venice. To improve it please ensure it starts on time. Our guide was 15 minutes late. Then we lost another 10 minutes while she sorted out intercom technical issues (should be verified in advance). Then we even waited for some late group members (don’t wait for latecomers, it’s not the other group members’ problem). We arrived 15 mins early! The delays made my wife and I have to cut short both the prison tour and the trip up the Campanile in order to catch our train. We had to run to get there and it was hot and we are both in our sixties. My wife and I were the last passengers on board a crowded train with no seating left and we literally got to the train as the doors shut (we got in by 1 second, sweating profusely). We had to get back to Verona on that train and no later. If the tour had started on time we could have got to the station with a comfortable walk and time to spare.
