It supposed to be a 30-minute ride. When we arrived, the facility manager told us that due to Bezos’ wedding, many canals were closed to traffic, so the ride would last 25 minutes. This was a ridiculous and obvious lie. We had just walked across much of Venice to get to the meeting point - nothing was closed, neither canals nor walking paths. Once we got into the gondola, the manager told the gondolier, “20-minute ride,” clearly to prevent us from canceling it. In the end, the ride lasted only 15 minutes, including around 5 minutes just getting in and out of the gondola parking area. Why do I think this is a scam? Even if Bezos really closed some canals, they could have just done two 15-minute loops to make up the 30 minutes I paid for. I do not recommend this service. They charge more than what it costs on-site and then manipulate your ride time however they want, knowing you’ve already paid.

Fabulous! Sarah is a spectacular native and guide!
It was a perfect introduction to Venice. I love the beginning 3-D virtual history tour our guide with Sarah, who is a Venice native was incredibly knowledgeable and fun. She was also very helpful in giving insider tips which can be a big deal. It’s the crowds.. I cannot imagine myself standing in line so the skip the line portion was perfect!

Encantador tour de medio dia
Fue un tour de medio día muuuuy bonito. El vidrio de Murano brilla de forma especial y Burano es encantadora. Nuestra guía Allegra fue muy amable y simpática. Al final del tour regresamos con tiempo para visitar otras otros lugares en la isla principal.

Day trip
Great trip reduced the cost. Experience that you make not to be forgotten. Weather was nice. Trip last about 40 mins, you do get to see venice from a different view.

Surpassed our expectations, very pleasant experience
At first I was a little nervous about whether or not everything would go by plan, but it actually turned out amazing. After booking it, they'll send you an email with the exact address and a description of the meeting point. The meeting point was easy to find. Despite the booking confirmation saying we should bring our own earphones, they provided everyone with single-use earphones, so bringing our own wasn't really necessary. Our guide was super friendly and the 10 minute tour before the gondola ride was really informative. Heads up: The area can get a little crowded (not awfully much, just a bit) and the guides don't hold up a sign or anything to easily identify/follow them. They do wear white shirts with a big green "V" though, so if you know how they look, you'll easily find them. The meeting point also has a big sign saying "gondola rides" or something like that. The guide stays at the gondola boarding point and waits for everyone to finish their gondola ride and picks us up when it's finished in order to head to the VR experience. The gondola ride itself was really pleasant. Me and my partner shared the gondola with two other strangers who were really nice. The gondolier was also very nice and we had a chat with him about the Venetian language and culture. The "live commentary" of the gondola ride is actually done not by the gondolier himself but by the tour guide via earphones, and only during a part of the gondola ride. Because the tour guide was kind of far away (still waiting at the boarding point), there was bad reception and we couldn't hear her well over the earphones. But that didn't bother us much since the gondolier also told us a bit about the place, and we also had quiet moments to admire the architecture and take photos, which was nice. Do not be afraid to strike up a chat with the gondolier :) After the ride, we went to a book shop where they offered us a VR experience, which was pretty nice. At first the VRs didn't work but that was quickly fixed and it turned out to be a really nice experience. All in all, I don't think there was a single negative thing about this tour apart from the live commentary not quite working. But that was equalled out by our nice and friendly gondolier :)

Great time had. Would recommend the secret tour of the palace which took you behind the scenes. Not as expensive as I thought it would be.
