A gondola ride in Venice is a must-do even though it's pricey. We really enjoyed the step back in time via the Virtually Reality experience. Alvise (our walking guide) was super friendly and shared some great facts about Venice's history and the Gondolas. Our Gondolier was happy to chat. Could have sat on a gondolier all day but felt the 20-25 minute paddle was more than enough. Didn't see an exhibit about gondola making yhat was described in the programme. The audio guide took a while to set up - didn't use it on the boat.

Our guide Alessandro was absolutely brilliant! Clearly incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the history of Venice - architecturally, politically and socially. I could have listened to him for hours. He also guided us with humour, which made the tour even better. I hope everyone else who doesn this tour gets Alessandro too!

I loved this tour! We saw glass blowers make tow amazing pieces right in front of us on our stop in Murano. Then we saw some of the incredible lace still made by hand on the island of Burano. Such amazing creations in both places, and we had free time on each island to explore the beautiful streets & grab a bite to eat. On the boat ride, our guide Sabina told the history of the lagoon that Venice is part on, how & why it was created, and just how many islands and bridges there are! We also got to sample some traditional cookies on Burano as well. Beautiful scenic views from the boat ride, and lovely towns with postcard-colored houses. Just fabulous! You can take a waterbus to these islands on your own, but you'll be missing so much information that a guide can. Sabina was happy to offer suggestions on what to do with our free time on each island. Great tour! Very well organized.

The virtual experience was good, the gondolier was nice, the route on the canals was good, overall it was a lovely experience.
