Unfortunately I do not have very good experience with the bike rental for two reasons. I had made a reservation for three bikes well in advance which we got. 1. I returned almost immediately with my bike because I thought one of the pedals was kind of woobly. The lady at the front desk tried out the bike and didn´t feel anything. I specifically asked if there was any reason to believe the pedal would fall off and I was assured it wouldn´t happen. There were some problems finding a new bike for me and in the end I just took the bike with the woobly pedal with the assurance nothing would happen. But of course, 20 minutes into my bike tour the pedal in question fell off and I was forced to take the bike back to the rental. No one offered cancelling the rental fee or offered any compensation for this inconvenience which of course got me to miss out an hour of 3 hours bike tour. Not cool customer service. A free bottle of water would have been something, but actually nothing at all was offered. 2. On our way out with our bikes for the first time we asked a guy who is working there if he knew the statue of Neptune. He just shrugged and had no idea. Then we asked about the rathaus. The guy litterally laughed and said he had no idea. So we just decided to find it ourselfs. Within 200 metres in one direction we saw both the Rotes Rathaus and the statue/fountain of Neptune in front of it. There is just no way that this guy - who is working there - wouldn´t have known these two landmarks in Alexanderplatz, 350 metres from his shop. The rudeness and unhelpfulness of this employee was very uncalled for.

Tyone who is in the store at the time and was unbelievably helpful and happened to have an extra box for me. He was just an all-around good person who was able to give me what I need and I am super thankful for that. I can’t say enough things about the wonderful service we received from the staff at Unlimited Biking. First I called ahead to make sure they were open and that bikes were available. The lady who answered the phone was courteous and informative. When we got to the store the two gentleman there were fabulous and helpful to two Nebraska people that had never used an electric bike and that were in SanDiego. They had printed out maps and also answered all our questions. They provided helmets and a lock for free. We had so much fun on the bikes riding around Coronado Island for 4hrs Glad they asked if we wanted a lock because we stopped for lunch! I want to share first we stopped at a different bike rental place that was right by our hotel. We had called ahead but got no answer. When we arrived 15 minutes after the online posted opening time there was no staff in sight. We waited another 15 minutes and then a gentleman came out, bringing out some bikes. We told him we wanted to rent E bikes like they had online and he said the E bikes were at a different location that wasn’t close, that all their other E bikes were stolen. We asked about helmets and there weren’t any available even for the regular bikes. We will definitely go directly to Unlimited Biking next time!
