Highly recommend using specifically this biking service- especially if you are planning to bike over the golden gate! The bikes are better built for SF hills (much thinner wheels, less cruiser type like the other bikes, 27 gear changes). All you need to bring is your camera and maybe a backpack to hook your helmet to while you walk around. They provide everything else (bike, helmet, lock, and key). The daypass is so worth it, and the best price around that I could find (especially if you book in advance online (worth your time and then just go grab your bike for the day when you're ready) - better than Lyft, riding saddles, and a few others). Also, if you don't mind an extra 20 min attached to your bike ride, and some slightly steep hills (if I could do it you probably can), google maps your way to Sausalito after you cross the Golden Gate bridge and take the ferry home - it's an absolutely awesome day, and in my opinion the best views of the bridge and SF. If you ask at Unlimited biking before you go, they'll give you the ferry times. Make sure to come at least 25 min early - the ferry fills up. Busy days, you might want more time. We will definitely use UB next time we or our friends need bikes in SF! Super super friendly customer service, shout-out to Alex:)

They provided my wife with a bike that had no rear brake, and the bike chain snapped when we were way out in Sausalito. The mechanic we took the bike to made a few remarks on the condition of the chain and the brakes. Despite the reassurance from the rental place that riding to and from Muir Woods would be fine, the battery on the bike died quickly on the way back over the Golden Gate Bridge, leaving me to walk a heavy e-bike bike up a few hills and manually pedal it the rest of the way back. Do yourself a favor and research other rental places. Inspect the condition of the bikes first to protect yourself from a serious inconvenience, and don't trust the mileage range listed on the display.

She not only showed us her favorite spots in Rome with great passion, but also shared her enthusiasm for life in Rome. The bikes were comfortable, well-maintained, and had small bags for carrying drinks. With temperatures over 30°C, it was a good idea for us to refill our water bottles at the various drinking fountains along the way. Unfortunately, sometimes it was unavoidable to stand in the sun due to the lack of shade. The tour was thoughtfully planned, and we felt that including more wouldn't have been worthwhile. This way, you skip some sights, but it remains manageable. You stay on the right bank of the Tiber the whole time and don't go higher than the Trevi Fountain. The tour wasn't physically demanding and was quite doable. Lucilla is a friendly, engaging, and enthusiastic guide who, with her extensive knowledge, was able to answer all our questions, not only about the sights but also about everything else. She made the day unforgettable. Three and a half hours that felt like half an hour. Time is relative, after all. We would definitely book another tour with her. (Original) Wow, einfach nur wow. Wir hatten einen tollen Vormittag und Mittag mit Lucilla auf unserer Fahrradtour quer durch Rom. Sie zeigte uns nicht nur mit großer Leidenschaft ihre Lieblingsplätze in Rom, sondern teilte auch stets ihre Begeisterung für das Leben in Rom. Die Fahrräder waren gemütlich, gut gewartet und hatten kleine Taschen, in denen man Getränke verstauen kann. Bei 30*+ war es für uns sinnvoll die Flasche auf den verschiedenen Stationen an den Trinkwasserbrunnen immer wieder nachzufüllen. Manchmal ist es leider nicht zu vermeiden in der Sonne stehen zu bleiben aufgrund des Mangels von Schatten. Die Tour war durchdacht geplant und mehr mit in die Tour reinzunehmen wäre unserer Meinung nach nicht sinnvoll gewesen. So lässt man einige Sehenswürdigkeiten aus, bleibt aber in einem machbaren Rahmen. Man bleibt die ganze Zeit rechts der Tiber und geht nicht höher als den Trevi-Brunnen. Die Tour war körperlich nicht anspruchsvoll und gut machbar. Lucilla ist eine sympathische, Interessierte und begeisterungsfähige Guide, die mit ihrem Wissen uns alle Fragen beantworten konnte, nicht nur zu allen Sehenswürdigkeiten, sondern auch zu allen anderen Belangen. Sie machte den Tag unvergesslich. 3 1/2 Stunden, die uns vorkamen wie eine halbe Stunde. Zeit ist halt relativ. Wir würden jedes Mal wieder eine Tour hierüber machen.

David and Unlimited Biking were super awesome!!! We had a blast on our lil adventure across the Golden State Bridge and around SF! We experienced great customer service and loved our bikes! We got the day pass online and the process of getting the bikes and helmet was super easy. David even helped me get a bike with the front basket attached. There’s a holder for a water bottle too but it didn’t fit my large hydro flask, so he set us up with a bungee cable to attach it to the back of the bike. Highly recommend this activity if you want some good exercise. Make sure to check that you have the right address, the correct location is 757 beach st. We parked in a nearby parking garage but if you’re lucky you can park in the street. My dog really enjoyed the trip and we’ll definitely be doing this again! (: thank you David and Alex!

Amazing costumer service provided by Alex and Maggie. They both ensured that my family and I were properly set up with a tag a long bike for my daughter and bike seat for my son. They explained the bike path, gave route details, and recommendations for scenic stops. The experience made seeing the Palace of Fine Arts a wonderful experience.

Do this! If you want to see a great view of the bay, ride across the Golden Gate Bridge on a bicycle, then ride down to Sausalito. I would recommend taking the ferry back. Hint, get on the ferry last, you get off first! Unlimited biking has great service, fair prices, nice equipment and was an overall good experience.

Our guide, Dieter, was one of the most knowledgeable bicycle guides we have had. We bike in a lot of places and this shop had one of the best selections I have ever seen. All 5 of the bikes we rented were to of the line and in great shape. I will be using Dieter and UB shop again.
