We booked the 4-hrs eBike tour in San Francisco and it turns out we were the only 2 people on the tour. Our tour guide JP was a wonderful and knowledgeable host, he safely guided our ride through multiple hills and had a lot of fun facts to share. After this short tour we had really good idea about SF parks and trendy neighborhoods.

Rented a carbon Canondale bike for my husband to pre-ride the Escape from Alcatraz course before the race. Bike was in great condition! Easy to reserve and pick up.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Made my booking for the full San Francisco electric bike tour through Airbnb. I was messaged by my host Alex (or phantom Alex but I will get into that later) that the tour is being held at a different time on the day I booked. So I turn up for my tour and lo and behold they have left at the original time stated on Airbnb. 9.30am instead of 10am. Firstly it was difficult to locate the shop as in their Airbnb listing, there was no shop name listed. Nobody at Unlimited Biking knew who Alex was, and nobody knew of a 10am Full San Francisco E Bike Tour. It took me at least 5 min to get through to their customer service hotline based in New York. Another 30 min wait to confirm all the problems, booking details and availability BUT I was promised another tour the following day at 9.30am and a private tour at that. Just me and the guide unnamed. So I re-arranged my schedule and left the store relieved. 6 hours later I get another call saying tour guide injured himself. The next tour is on the day I fly so I can’t make it. Their suggestion was an e bike rental for 4 hours at the same price. No partial refunds, no action to show how sorry they are for the miscommunication on their part. In fact when I asked for partial refund I was told that the bike rental was more than I paid for the tour. Now that to me, from a customer’s perspective is completely besides the point. MIND BOGGLING that they just ignored the situation I was in. I was stunned that they did not have a back up tour guide. And that they were certain the tour 2 days later could proceed despite his injury. It was such a huge disappointment and honestly an uncomfortable experience that they put me through. I would never recommend Unlimited Biking as they do not seem reliable. The fact that nobody in the store knew of Alex was the first big red flag for me. And all the communication since booking onto the tour has been very sketchy. Please look into how you treat and communicate with your customers and re-think your staffing situation.

We walked in and rented bikes for 4 hours. The lady working the counter said they had no locks. We asked "what if we go into a restaurant or museum?" And she recommended we just... Figure it out with the museum? Take the bikes in with us? 😵‍💫 So we tried, then pretty quickly realised it wasn't going to work. We went to another shop to rent a lock, took about 20 mins. We brought the bikes back 4 hours and 20 mins later and she tried to charge us for 5. I said "no, your rental includes locks and you gave us none, it was a hassle, please waive the extra charge". She said "Hm, well, this computer makes it tough to waive it. Is it OK if I just charge you anyways?" 🤔 No

I reserved two e-bikes for an entire day and when I arrived in the morning on the day of, I was told that they were out of bike locks for the day. The store was still very full of bikes, so they must not carry many at all. A lock is one of the specifically listed items that come with a rented bike and I would consider possibly the most important. I was offered an email address for a refund. I instead went to a local bike shop and purchased a lock. Once on the bikes, we discover the brakes hardly stop at all and were screaming noise the whole time. They had obviously not been serviced or inspected and were at a dangerous point, since San Francisco is all steep hills. Overall, a pretty awful experience.

Well worth the trip was just 4 of us 2 on eBikes 2 std, would have been better if all riders were on eBikes. Was really windy which makes the bridge crossing quite an experience leaning over to counteract the wind. There’s a designated bike lane over the bridge and mist of the trip is in dedicated bike tracks or lanes. There’s an optional insurance charge when you checkin we paid the $10/ eBike. When you get to the end of journey your option is to take the bike back on the Ferry $13 each of bike back over the bridge all up it’s 3-5 hrs depending his long you spend in Sausalito, you get the bikes for the day so it’s all up good value thanks to our Guide JP make sure to have a good jacket it was cold!

Had a three hour ride in San Francisco with our excellent guide Jean-Pierre. It was a great tour with a lot of interesting informations. We can recommend the tour, it was great to became a first impression of the city. It was a small group of 7 and we had our kids (11yo and 14yo) with us. Enjoyed it very much.

Great place to rent your bike for the whole day, a little far from the golden bridge but it was worth it. If you are not use to riding bike I'll recommend the electric bike, if you are a pro you will be alright.

Two emails to make a reservation for an E Bike, about 30 minutes spent between emails and phone calls. Showed up and they had it rented out. To get a refund we had to send another email. 3 emails to not get what we purchased. Yikes.

We rented two ebikes for the day, to tour as much of San Francisco as possible. We picked the bikes up a little after 10am and dropped them off at 6:30pm. Per my apple watch, we biked ~25 miles during that time. We also made multiple stops throughout the day (and even went back to the shop to get a new fully charged battery). The ebike was worth every penny. We were able to cruise up some very steep hills, without breaking a sweat. The guys in the shop were awesome, and made the experience that much better. Bike lock was included in the rental and the battery locks into the bike.

Victor M was extremely helpful even thought it was very busy. He hustled and got me set up in quality shape while he multi-tasked assisting multiple customer groups. I will definitely come back to his place on Beach. Prices reasonable also.
