I had a very good experience renting an ebike from Unlimited Biking here. Chiara was very helpful and sent a couple of pre selected routes that i just loaded up on my phone and followed (the bike had a phone holder on handlebar as well as a little pouch to carry a few things). The Tuscan hillsides were incredible and gave a wonderful top down view of Florence as well as a few surrounding villages. They even supplied a helmet and lock all for a very reasonable price. I would definitely recommend and rent from them again.

Great experience - Great People - Great Bikes. The 2 hour E-Bike rental was awesome. JUST enough time to get to the golden gate bridge, cross it, and come back. Still plenty of time to stop and take photos. BUT, if you have the time, I would recommend doing the full day rental. Pick the bike up in the morning, bike across the GGB, then head over to Sausalito, hang out there for a while, then take the ferry back, explore a little more of San Fran, then return the bike.
