A friend recommended a Fat Tire tour of Berlin and it didn’t disappoint! We chose the 3 hour highlights tour. Our guide, Thor, was absolutely fantastic. His knowledge of the city’s history and culture was impressive. He shared fascinating stories that brought the city to life and was very entertaining and engaging. We learned so much! The bike tour took us to all the main sites, and was a great way to be introduced to the city. Also on a hot day it was much more pleasant to potter on two wheels than to trek around on foot! We’d highly recommend this bike tour to anyone visiting Berlin - thanks again Thor - and are planning to try one of their tours when we visit Florence next month!

Rented for NYC 5 Boro ride. Well organized, friendly staff, I used my own pedals (that was easily dealt with), Premium pickup day of ride, and we all dropped-off before boarding the ferry. Communication was clear, well staffed the day of the event, and the bike was what I can asked for. It was a rental bike (chain was little dry, slight rattle over bumps, and cables need a little adjustment), but derailleur and brakes worked fine. Tires were in great shape. Well worth the money. I plan to rent again from Unlimited

So happy we decided on a Fat Tire Tour. This company knows what they are doing and the entire day was very well run. Directions to get to the meeting point were very exact. We met our guide Toby, who made everyone at ease with making introductions among us and going over the entire day's events. Toby was very easygoing, knowledgeable, humorous and caring. Highlight was going to the outdoor market and buying our lunch for the picnic. Not pictured on the website were the baskets on the bikes to hold goodies, but bring a backpack or market bag. A little cycling in traffic in Versailles, but mostly on the grounds of Versailles Palace. Did more walking than was expected and as warned it was a long day. Probably would not recommend for children under 12 as the day is 8+ hours. However, I would not have missed it! In fact I will look for Fat Tire Tours from now on in my travels.

Careful about this place. Their business operates in charging too much for things they said they would charge for. They advertise a e-bike rental for $68 a day. Never mind you can get a Citibike for $25 a day but let’s assume you want to do the Five Boro Bike Tour - they let you book Saturday pickup so you can bike with family and drop the bike off after you’re done but for some reason it’s $277 instead of $68. But then 2 months after you booked and paid and made plans they email you to tell you they changed your plans for you. Instead of Saturday pick up you have to pick up Sunday. Fine. You pick up Sunday annoyed you can’t go biking Saturday with friends but you confirm with the staff on site and in the e-bike rental guide you can return the bike on MONDAY next day with no charge at their locations in Manhattan. Next day you drop off the bike and they are confused- they claim you already returned the bike yesterday (Sunday) but never mind - since you’re here now with the bike it’s an additional $25. What in the actual Fuh? You already overcharged me for this but you want even more to do the thing you said I could do?
