Did the Versailles Gardens and Palace Tour. Our your guide was wonderful. He was friendly, had great advice for the market, and was full of great information about the palace and grounds. 2 stars off is solely for their awful bikes they put you on. They are very old, not in great repair, and were obviously cheap bikes to start. The chains came off of multiple bikes while riding. When the chain came off mine it caused the pedals to immediately go limp while going up a tall hill with a tandem bike and my son on the back. We both ended up with cuts and bruises from it. All of the bikes were creaky and in rough shape.

We had an excellent tour with Erik. He was very accommodating- helping us adjust the schedule so we could fit in both the building and grounds tour. He was very knowledgeable and personable.. a great guide for a family of 4 with two teens. Iâd recommend touring with Erik and Fat Tire.

Rented bikes here to explore Central Park and it was honestly a great decision. The process was super quick, the staff were nice and got us set up fast, and the bikes were in solid shape. We did the full loop around the park and stopped at a few cool spots like Bethesda Fountain and the Reservoir. It was such a fun way to see the park without rushing and way better than just walking. Would definitely do it again.

âWe Didnât Die in Paris Traffic Thanks to Alex (and Thatâs a Big Deal)â Before the tour even started, Fat Tire was already winningâthey sent us a video showing how to get there, which felt like they knew we were the type of people whoâd 100% get lost. At check-in, their staff were super nice, let us refill our water bottles, and even pointed us to the bathrooms (listen, not fancy, but they do the job). Erika and I went with e-bikes because it was Paris-hotâthat type of heat where you start rethinking every life decisionâand weâre so glad we did. Alex, our guide (originally from New Orleans), was a pro. He managed a group of 14 people, including 5 kids, and navigated French traffic like he had cheat codes. Mid-tour, one lady cramped up and fell, and a kid scraped her knee. Alex patched them up like it was no big deal and kept the vibe positive. We mentioned we were big into street art, so he took us through a tunnel that was pure graffiti heavenâno cars, just 3 glorious minutes of murals. We hit all the major landmarks, and Alex gave us just enough history to feel smart without overloading us with textbook energy. At no point did Erika or I feel unsafe, and trust me, thatâs saying a lot when youâre biking in Paris traffic.
