I was in one of the bike tours and it was physically demanding and quite long. While the guide clearly made an effort to show us as much of New York as possible, the group was too large (~ 10 persons) to keep up with his commentary, and the pace left little time to actually take in the sights. Navigating NYC traffic felt unsafe at times—we had to ride against traffic in certain spots, and many streets lacked dedicated bike lanes. In hindsight, I wish I had purchased insurance. Finally, the guide made inappropriate stereotypical comments about Chinese people eating dogs and cats. Although he apologized immediately after I called him out, it was unprofessional and entirely unnecessary.
