Although the bikes were quality and Versailles was beautiful I was disappointed how little biking we actually did. Recognizing that many of the grounds don’t allow biking though I think my largest concern was the lack of historical tour. Our guide did a great job with the script he had but it was clearly a script like a decent actor reading. Every other tour I have ever done in Europe has been led by someone passionate about history and brings that enthusiasm to their job which only excites you more. Our tour guide turned it into an American approach to Versailles which is not exactly what you come to France for. This is less a reflection of our guide more of the company hiring individuals as cheap students then calling them interns prioritizing their own profit over quality experiences for the visitors. So did I have a lovely day of course it was Versailles but would I ever recommend this tour company definitely not especially when you’re in a city of passionate people who love this place.

My family had a great time on the nighttime tour. Best way to see the sights with teens! Matt kept all of us active and interested. We felt safe with the lights, helmets and bikes. Matt projected well so we had no trouble hearing what he had to say. Took great family photos. Definitely a trip highlight.
