We had a fantastic night bike tour round Washington DC. Joe was a great guide giving facts and a very well timed tour allowing time giving lots of great information about each site but keeping the group moving to see everything. Great to see DC lit up at night and see so many sights in one tour being on the bike. Would definitely recommend for a great evening.

We booked an early entry tour of the Vatican through Fat Tire Tours. This tour was much more expensive than the standard tour as it claimed to gain entry in to the Sistine chapel before the public. Our tour did not deliver this experience at all. We were taken on a tour of the Vatican museums and gained entry to the Sistine Chapel with hoards of people for 15 mins at 10.50am. I contacted Fat Tire Tours requesting a refund for the difference in cost and followed up to no avail. So beware, do not pay the extra money. I don’t even know if this tour actually exists. We were asked to arrive at 7.30am and then were kept waiting until 8.30. A total waste of money!

Bikes are old scrap. Gearshift not working properly, the side stand loose and dangerous. But biggest issue is, you have to pay additional money, even if you have a fully paid booking with Go City Pass. Take another company. At Columbus Circle, you get better bikes, cheaper and without trouble.

Nice trip, saw some interesting parts of Versailles gardens, definitely geared towards families with kids more than history buffs, but seeing the gardens by bike was invigorating.
