Definitely upgrade to an electric bike! So much fun! We rented two bikes for 5 hours to ride around Manhattan, Central Park, Times Square, etc. We had plenty of time. It can be a bit overwhelming riding bikes with the traffic, be aware, but the many of the streets have wide bike paths. Brooklyn Bike Rental gave us a map, sent us on our way! Would definitely rent from them again.
