My mother and I did not have a great experience with Unlimited Biking. The website said we would be provided an illustrated map and we were not. We were given bad directions to the trail (the "turn left" the woman told us was actually a right) and we had to check our phones to make sure we were on the right path. The website says we would get "hybrid comfort" bikes but the woman said "hybrid" only meant that they were lighter. My bike also didn't have a kickstand on it "because it was new". The basket/bike bag included was just a small bike bag and I couldn't put anything in it because the bulky lock took up all the room. At Mount Vernon we had to wait in line to show them our code for tickets Unlimited Biking gave us. We had no idea a mansion tour needed a separate timed ticket and the booth could only give us a slot 3 hours later. Unlimited Biking was really just an unnecessary middleman and we would've been better off getting our own tickets to have a reasonable timeslot for a mansion tour. My main complaint is that to avoid the $10 charge per bike to leave at Mt. Vernon, my mom and I made our way back on the bikes. At about 5 miles in, my mother was starting to feel heat exhaustion so we called the emergency number to get the bikes picked up and the woman said they couldn't come and we would have to go back to the estate or back to shop. We continued on to the shop, they called back 10 minutes later saying that we actually could lock the bikes somewhere but we were frustrated and said nevermind. After that, my mom lost control down a steep hill and now has a bruised rib and black eye. We walked the bikes until we reached a park, locked them up, and got a Lyft back. They did not charge us but it would have been nice to leave our bikes when we requested to the first time. The Mt. Vernon trail has very steep hills and took us close to 2 hours to get there. I'm not a biking expert but I felt that the bikes we were given had such thin tires and they were no help getting us up the hills. Would not recommend this company. Use your own bikes and beware going downhill.

The folks here wee more than incredible. They bent over backwards to help us coordinate bike rentals for 9 e-bikes. They taught each of us how to operate and use the bikes. They also had us give them a test drive before we left for the Mall. We rented the bikes for 2 hours. we thought this would be enough time to take a ride around the Washington Mall would take. Unfortunately, one if the e bikes stopped working while going up hill. When we returned three hours later, they were kind and responsive to us. Not to mention that they didn't charge us for the extra time. Highly recommend this business for thier professionalism, courtesy, and making out trip to Washington DC amazing. E bikes are the only way to do DC.

Our guide, Judy was fantastic! She was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and kept everyone on track. I would highly recommend this experience to others- we had a great experience with our boys, ages 7 and 11. A fun and active way to see all the monuments!

PLEASE keep your congregating tours out of the bike lanes in front of the store! Your guides need to make a safer bike environment for everyone by not creating a bike parking lot in the path of other fellow bikers. Your customers don't know any better but your tour guides do. We are all bikers and advocates for biking safely in DC; don't make unsafe conditions for your customers and resident bikers by fully blocking the bike lanes and sidewalks in front of the store with dozens of people standing around waiting for their tour to start.

We had an excellent tour of Central Park with Dan. The pace was great, his knowledge was excellent and he took the time to ensure that everyone was involved. It was a great way to cover the whole 6+ miles of the park. If you can stand (or sit really 😉) the 2 hours on the bike, I would highly recommend this as a great way to see the park.

Last Sunday we joined the Unlimited Biking central park bike tour from 2 hours. It was an amazing tour, got to know a lot of the park. The guide Samantha was really nice and knew a lot from the park. She was very Enthusiastic in her work.

Great place to rent your bike for the whole day, a little far from the golden bridge but it was worth it. If you are not use to riding bike I'll recommend the electric bike, if you are a pro you will be alright.

Awesome tour riding on Manhattan bridge and Brooklyn bridge.. would highly recommend to folks who value seeing the city on wheels. Richard was a fun tour guide and made the trip quite enjoyable for the whole family!

Charming John led our group on our guided tour of Central Park. We spent two hours on Saturday seeing parts of the Park that we would never have seen on foot. John told us interesting facts as we stopped to view the highlights. He was patient and very knowledgeable. We would definitely recommend this tour for anyone who is fairly fit. The bikes were good too!

This is our third ride with Fat Tire Tours and I believe it’s now our favorite for two reasons. 1: the stop for a meal at a beer garden. 2. Dan, our guide. Don’t get me wrong, our other guides with this company were fantastic, but Dan made the history so digestible and relatable with his wit and animated personality. I highly recommend this tour as a great way to see a lot of the city in a short amount of time and it sure beats walking!
