Discovery New Detroit
This was so much fun. discovery of all the city has to offer. Bon-Bon was delicious. discovery of downtown bakery's. rooftop view of Detroit.

Fantastic Detroit Native and Tour Guide
I LOVED Jason and his educational tour around downtown Detroit. I am an avid art enthusiast, so the details about the city's art installations and architecture were a delight. I also enjoyed Jason's historical stories that highlighted how Detroit began with French founders and expanded into the city it is today. I found the tour engaging and interesting. Jason definitely deserves a 5/5 rating. My 1 star deduction is for the advertising of the tour and the food itself. It is advertised as a donut tour on Google; thus, I booked the tour for my 12 year old son who is a devoted donut connoisseur. However, there were zero donuts on the tour and my son was disappointed. It would be great if this tour is labeled as a Detroit walking tour or a Detroit sweets tour as this would clarify its actual function. The other two things that I would recommend for this tour is 1. to tell customers to bring their own bag(s) if they want to buy more items at each shop (we had to go back in a separate trip to buy things from the shops we visited) and 2. to allow customers to select their own items. At Bon Bon Bon we were able to select our own flavor, but at the other two shops, the items were selected for us. We would have preferred to select treats we would have enjoyed. For instance at Cannelle's, eclairs were selected for us, which I do not like. I would have preferred one of the many other items pictured below. My son wanted the black and white cookie over the cronut at Astoria's pastry shop. It's a pricy tour to not have a choice in pastries and not enjoy the ones you are given. I hope the tour company will make some changes for future guests as the walking tour itself with Jason is wonderful.

This was fun!
This was a fun way to kick-start a day in Nashville. Our guide was fun & personable. The donuts at a couple of locations were not to my liking - one stop was actually a buscuit place & doesn’t really sell donuts. The biscuits were tasty though! The group we were with was lovely & we had a good time.

Totally worth it
The tour was presented fantastically and the donuts were all delicious. A great way to spend a couple of hours seeing the city, meeting some new people, and trying a bunch of delicious options!

Tour with a friend
Guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. Nice mix of New Orleans history and information about the different donuts and beignets. I felt like I was being taken on a journey by a good friend. Highly entertaining!

Definitely recommend, whellchair-friendly route
We had a great experience with Oscar on this tour! The entire route was wheelchair-friendly and everyone was very accommodating. The doughnuts and the tea tasting left us in awe as well. Thank you very much for the experience!

We never got a whole donut
Extremely disappointing. We went in July when temperatures were in the upper 90s so be prepared for the heat as there is a lot of walking outside. One star for the history as our guide was knowledgeable about U.S. and D.C. history. However, we did not get a single donut. Let me explain. We went to a couple of places that had donuts but we had a bite of a donut. We had to share a whole donut with eight other people. We never got a whole donut to ourselves. We started the tour with a beignet from Founding Farmers across the street. I like beignets and will allow this as a substitute donut. Astro Donuts was great but we had to share a half dozen box with others. I'm afraid I didn't get to try all the flavors! Toward the end of the tour, we had a frozen treat at Dolcezza which was divine but like I said, no donut. For the price that we paid (around $70 per person), I could have gotten several dozen donuts.

This is a must do! Jackson was an amazing guide and so great bat engaging with our 7yr old (who was FULL of questions). All of the donuts were delicious - we were SO full. It was nice to space out the donuts with walking and some sight seeing. Highly recommend!

Donuts, donuts, and donuts (with some pastries too).
This was an excellent experience. We learned about the different donut shops in the area, as well as the history of the scenery we were guided through. As visitors to the area, we learned of more opportunities around to make the most of our trip. If the word "donut" interests you at all, I wholeheartedly recommend this.

Great Beignets & History
My group of family & friends really enjoyed the tour. We thought the beignets & donuts we tasted were good, especially the beignets from PJ’s Coffee! Our tour guide Emily was great as well! She did a great job giving us history of NOLA & keeping us engaged along the tour. The only things that took away from being a total 5 star experience was that we all thought it would have made sense for the tour to start & end in the same place or at least closer to the starting location. Upon the last tasting we were a 15 minute walk away from where we started with our car & were told walk left for 15 minutes. The other somewhat off putting part was Thomas who was the other tour guide but he wasn’t with us most of the trip - he was rude to most of us on several occasions. The consensus in our group of 10 was that we did not need to interact with him at all since his interactions were rude. Aside from that, a great tour we’d recommend!

We had such a good time with Jason! He is very personable, and very knowledgeable regarding the history of Detroit. I wish I had brought a cold pack bag. I would have bought more pastries to take with me!
