Tour to the Accademia was good. Quick entrance and solid explanation of the museum by Camilla. The Uffizi was also presented well by Camilla. Nonetheless, the long wait time on the line going to Uffizi was energy-consuming. We opted for Skip-the-Line and waited more than an hour. By the time we got in, we were exhausted already. But this is not the tour guide’s error. It is the system’s shortcoming. The museum’s management of visitors and/or the tour company’s. In conclusion, Camilla is a well-experienced tour guide who shared in-depth information during the tour.

The actual gondola ride was a lovely relaxing experience. The only thing that let it down was that our gondolier did not talk to us at all, no small talk and definitely no descriptions the sights. Which was a shame as this is the reason we chose the private 1hr tour. I feel we could have picked up a better more interactive gondola experience during our wander through the city.

I reached out to the tour operator for a pin the day before this event was supposed to take place. Then reached out 2 more times for the pin and did not receive it the day of. Finally someone from Viator gives me a phone number to call. I call that number and they tell me I should be fine despite the fact that this happened 10 minutes before the tour start time. I arrive at the tour start point 30 minutes late because of the unprompt response. I could have ridden for half the time and only requested half a refund. They registered me as a “no show” and said to me “that’s not our problem” I also asked to reschedule for a later time. This was not possible since they were fully booked. When/if I receive my full refund, I’ll adjust this review.

I reached out to tour operator the day before the tour and requested a pin. Saturday afternoon. On Sunday before the tour, I reached out 2 more times for a pin and nobody responded. Finally, I was able to get a phone number from Viator and I called it. They assured me I should be fine and sent me the address of the tour. I arrived 30 minutes late because I didn’t receive the address until right before the tour was scheduled to start. I asked if I could ride 30 minutes instead since I was technically in my 1 hour window. They registered me as a “no show” and said “that’s not our problem.” Then I asked if I can reschedule but they were fully booked. This morning (the day after the tour) I finally receive a response from Trip Advisor saying the address was on the reservation. As you can see from my screenshot take 2 days ago, it was not. They added it after the fact. I need my full refund for this event.
