Palatine Hill Experience

Eugenia provided an excellent tour of the Palatine Hill. It was well worth booking a private tour for such a fascinating site. Her scholarly information was enlightening & informative. She truly made the history come alive with her easy presentation & interesting facts. We thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. Worth it - just book the tour and enjoy!

Tour was great with a very passionate tour guide that clearly enjoyed giving tours. The colosseum is a VERY busy place and it was nice to not have to navigate around the multiple entrances, ques, and we learned a lot. So glad we booked a trip instead of going on our own and just walking around aimlessly.

Awesome tour! I was recommended after reading an alternative Rome guide book and it did not disappoint. The opportunity to experience a live archaeological site in the centre of Rome and see the layers of history peeled away in front of your eyes do you not come along very often, and I hope this remains special and limited to small groups with experienced local guides. The best thing I’ve done, anywhere😊

The driver, Michaela was excellent (on-time, friendly, clean minivan, safe driving). Our tour guide “Laura” was extremely knowledgeable, easy to understand, friendly and held a relaxed pace. She was trained in archeology and is a professional tour guide. We did a private tour and it looked far more pleasant than the group tours around us. We liked how the train, driver, and tour was completely arranged and private. However, for the train ride home we had to wait two hours in the station before departure and we discovered that our ticket was not a flexible one. I recommend creating enough time to go see the Pompeii artifacts in the Naples Museum after the tour. We didn’t, because we don’t know that was a thing.

Best tour guide ever!

I was a little nervous when we showed up at the meeting point and the nice young lady holding the tour company sign told us she had only been living in Rome for less than a year. Turns out she was not our tour guide, and our wonderful tour guide from Vancouver joined us shortly after. Our small group tour had a total of 10 participants. We got in quickly with our skip the line tickets. Headsets ensured we were able to hear every morsel of information that our wonderful tour guide had to offer. He was so passionate about the subject matter that he even captured the attention of my primary school aged children. Highlight was when he spun “Sfera con Sfera” like it was the wheel of fortune and we got a great video! Sistine chapel was amazing but crowded and a bit dark and part of it was under renovation. We did not feel like we missed out at all though because our guide provided such rich information about the rest of the works in the Vatican museums.

Our tour guide Erika was so amazing. She was very knowledgeble and friendly. This was the first guided tour we have ever done and we were extremely pleased. Definitely recommend the basilica tour early in the morning.

Nice Tour (a Guided Tour of the Cathedral & Piazza del Duomo)

We sought out this tour to enrich our experience of the Duomo. Alex was a cheerful and informative guide and made the Duomo experience much more meaningful than visiting on our own. In total the guided portion of our tour was a bit over one hour, which is appropriate for the basics of this site. You are invited to spend as much time in the Duomo as you wish after the tour. Alex even let us know that we could see Brunelleschi's tomb on the lower level next to the store with no extra ticket. The headsets provided were good, with an in-ear bud (personally preferred), as opposed to the over-the-ear whisper devices. Some minor suggestions: although we received an address as our meeting point it would have been nice to also have the name of the business or a photo of the front to ensure we were in the right place; and both the web site description and the confirmation stated the tour was three hours long (and could be longer depending on circumstances) with a start time of 9:30am. From our arrival at the meeting point at 9:25am to departing the office around 9:50 to the end of Alex's presentation (approx. 11:00am) was 90 minutes max, just fyi for planning purposes. Would recommend, just would like to know ahead of time the real length of the tour so we could plan something else for mid-day.

I met Fadi at out meeting place, very friendly, his English was perfect and his knowledge of the Arts thier history and that of Florenz was amasing, it was like being back at school again, very imperssive.
