Pricey. But cool
The experience was very cool-all lit up with candles and special lighting in the dark. Also getting a tour of the crypts was amazing. However it seemed very expensive for a 1.5-2 hour experience. ($750 for 4 people)

Excellent tour. Went the year before and both were worth the investment. This is one tour worth doing with a guide.

Incredible experience and very interesting
Visiting Neros legendary palace was an incredible experience. Especially given that so much of the ceiling, wall and even floor decoration has been preserved. It was a special experience, made all the better with an informative guide and a well put together VR experience.

Exceeded expectations
If you’re returning to Rome and have already seen the well-known sites, consider adding the Domus Aurea 2-hour tour to your next itinerary. I had read this place was amazing, and it exceeded my expectations. A few things to share: our first guide, Zenda, was friendly and passionate about history. She met us at the beginning, checked us all in, guided us to the site and stayed with us. For the inside part of the tour, Sara led us through and explained so many highlights and nuances. She knows this place very well and it was an honor to have her share with us. Both were wonderful and spoke English well. The VR experience toward the end was cool and the screens along the tour showing what some rooms used to look like were well-done. One heads up: there was a tiny bit of confusion at the beginning regarding the meeting place— it was actually across from the oppio caffè at the garden/park entrance. Not a big deal, but if you’re looking for your guide, they might be there, instead. You do need to bring ID to get in and I was glad I brought my light sweater. Grateful that the city of Rome is working on restoration of this long-hidden site and that they open it to be shared with visitors. Overall: 5/5

Exclusive nighttime tour of Basilica di San Marco in Venice
We did a night tour of the Basilica di San Marco. It was cool to see a little bit more of the "behind the scenes" parts of the church, and the slower pace and lighter crowd was a plus!

The guide had so much knowledge about the Vatican with its history. She made everything so enjoyable. Didn’t rush us . Took her time. Made this tour one of the best.

A great exhibition
The exhibition was very good . There were many paintings that showed his dramatic style. There were many people but there was enough room to enjoy the exhibition. The palace was impressive. Also the garden was nice to stop and have a coffee. The waiters were slow and one was rude.

Fabulous Guide to the Caravagion Exhibit in Rome
Absolutely fabulous tour - the group was small as promised - just 6 of us and our tour guide was an art historian. He gave us context for the Caravaggio paintings we were viewing - what was going on then politically and religiously and how Caravaggio responded to those events. Who =knew he ran afoul of the church, killed someone whie playing a ame and had to flee for his life! The paintings came alive when our guide talked and he adjusted detail to our level of interest. He knew the smallest details but always respected our level of interest. He was outstanding! Through Eternity Tours was the source for our guide and i give them 5 stars!

A highlight of the Rome experience
Eugenia D’Andrea gave us a wealth of knowledge during this tour. It was amazing, and a highlight of the entire trip. I wish I spent 3 day at the Vatican taking tours!

Magico
Una bellissima esposizione che raccoglie 24 opere di Caravaggio dalle più famose a quelle private. É stato un viaggio cronologico molto interessante e che mi ha permesso di vedere delle opere incredibili

Amazing tour of an incredible place
Our tour guide was great; however, the actual tour of the Domus Aurea was conducted by a guide who was employed by the site. She was incredibly knowledgeable about this amazing place.

Pick ANY other guide.
This was legitimately the worst tour I've ever been on. I love history and learning stories that this tour guide was even more of a let down. Following Maria Letizia Bruschi around for 3 hours was equivalent to following a mad woman around muttering non-sense to herself. We counted 9 times she ranted for 2-5 min each about how it's "not her fault the sistine chapel was closed". For the record no one in our group was upset, everyone was understanding and knew prior to arriving at the tour. She commented 7 times also 2-5 min rants about how it's "not her fault there are crowds". Again no one mentioned it or commented on it. She also threw in absolutely ridiculous comments of "there are cabinets with objects. That I won't talk about" however we then got trapped in the room due to crowds so we are listening to her complain rather than give us any information. I know she can't know everything about every object or every room but silence would've been better than listening to her complain for the majority of the tour. Another frequent rant was about how the Vatican changes the route/which rooms are open every day. If this is the case why is she surprised and why is she unable to adapt? Especially if she's been doing this "many years". I actually cannot decide which was the most insulting part of the tour. The part where she explained the purpose of windows in the map room for 10 min instead of telling us about the map room. Or when she spent 30 min trying to convince us that she doesn't need to take us to St Peter's basilica because the "walk is too long". That was a part of the tour, yes I checked the description. There were points of the tour I would turn my headset off to listen in on other guides. They were fantastic. I wish I had any other guide. Their groups looked engaged and interested. Our group, who had people do this tour multiple times due to loving it, looked like a colonoscopy would be more enjoyable and worthwhile way to spend their vacation. I would love to retry this tour again, with absolutely anyone else. Again we heard at least 5 other tour guides that were fantastic and informational.
