Rushed and Poorly Planned for the High Price
We did this as Private Tour and added the Colosseum with the Underground for my dad and I. It was supposed to be a 5 hour tour with another hour for lunch. First off, our tour guide showed up late, and when I called the company they gave me a different name vs the person who showed up. Then it was just poorly planned. We ended up on a rushed 6 hour tour with no break for lunch (my 75 year old father had no rest break). And for the price I paid, I expected someone with education or experience in history or archaeology, but our guide was a lawyer from Ukraine. She was very kind and patient, but I had told the company how interested my dad was in Roman Empire history. Fortunately, my dad was happy with the tour, but I was rather disappointed knowing what I'd communicated to the tour company.

Our tour guide was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about all of the art and history that we covered. I appreciate how our guide expertly maneuvered us through all the crowds while still giving a very private experiences. Our 3-hour itinerary went by quickly because our guide was so engaging. I highly recommend a private tour with Through Eternity Tours!

Our transfer for our Rome in a day tour was so helpful for us and everything went smoothly. Our tour was absolutely fantastic! We had such an enjoyable time and our guide Val was very knowledgeable and friendly and managed to get us to so many amazing things to see and learn about. We’d love to take another tour in the future.

Nice experience, the tour guide was very friendly and enthusiastic. However, “VIP” only refers to the private tour, so you are not part of a larger group but have your own tour guide. Apart from that, it is a standard tour. You have normal fast-track tickets, so the waiting time is limited (approx. 10–15 minutes) but not completely eliminated. In the museum, you follow the crowd; no shortcuts or deviations are possible. In the Sistine Chapel, you walk through with everyone else, and the guide is not actually allowed to speak. This is a big difference from “real” VIP after-hours tours, where you are alone in the chapel with a small group for 45 minutes and the guide explains everything at your leisure. Overall, it was nice, but the price seems completely excessive for what is offered.

Great tour would recommend
Excellent tour and brilliant guide, so knowledgeable. It was busy but the beat the queue system moves along quite quickly so not really an issue. Even though we had an early start - 8am there were still lots of people about but all very good humoured. Thank you

The Mosaic tour with Gracelyn was excellent! Her wealth of knowledge about the history of Rome and the early Church relating to these incredibly beautiful Mosaics was fascinating. I highly recommend this tour.

A Great Experience
Our guide Marie Moscato was fantastic. She met us exactly on time at the designated meeting spot. She explained everything to us and then guided us throughout the tour of the Vatican Museum, the Sistine Chapel and St Peter’s Basilica, sharing all of her art history knowledge with us. She even went out of her way to buy us tickets to the Pantheon when I mentioned I was having trouble with the web site the night before. Of course I repaid her for the tickets but it was a big help. The tour was great. All three sites are absolutely amazing to see especially the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel and we were lucky enough to be able to walk through the Holy Door to enter St Peter’s. I would highly recommend this tour and especially our guide.

We took the “Rome at Twilight Tour: Piazzas and Fountains” with Thomas who was very knowledgeable and helpful.
Our Tour Guide was Thomas who was very knowledgeable. He took us down narrow allies and taught us ways to get away from crowded areas and find great local restaurants while still taking in the beautiful highlights of the area. He explained the history of the different churches and some of the history of the government of Rome. He was very knowledgeable about dates.

Our early morning semi-private tour was informative and definitely worth the money. Our tour guide kept us ahead of the crowds and knew how to navigate around so we got to see the best things with the time we were there. We even got almost 20 minutes in the Sistine Chapel instead of getting rushed through like the last time we were at the Vatican. Highly recommend.

Had a great time. Anita was a super guide, friendly and knowledgeable. She took us exactly to what we wanted to see and more, giving great insight into the sites, how they were developed and by whom. This tour was very educational and our guide was so knowledgeable. It just makes it enjoyable for your guide to have so much knowledge and then also know exactly how to navigate the crowds with ease. She highlighted the points of the Caravaggio paintings that we saw and explained the history of his life. It was an experience you could only encounter with a qualified guide.
