We had an amazing tour with Miriam! We frequently book food tours while on vacation, and this one was for sure one of the best we ever did. Miriam was super friendly and knowledgeable and provided us with a perfect culinary glimpse into Mexican culture. 5/5, can totally recommend!

Tania was phenomenal. Great knowledge of the food culture in Mexico City, the ingredients and history of each dish. She also was very knowledgeable on the history or Mexico City districts we walked through. Easy to understand and the food choices were superb.

Wonderful Tour of Mexico City’s Food Scene
The food tour was excellent! A great mix of the many different culinary flavors Mexico City has to offer! Tania was our guide and she did a great job guiding us through the experience! She was super knowledgeable about the history of the food we were eating and even the architecture we were walking by to every food stop. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Mexico City!

We took this tour on March 14th in Coyocan, CDMX. Great experience! Our guide was an expert not only about tacos, she generously shared her knowledge about history of Mexico City and Coyocan. Coyoácan is a very lovely bohemian spot in the city. The tour started at a great little cafe with wonderful coffee and pastreis, etc- musicians were playing outside when I arrived. The tastings were great, and there was quite a variety of food - including delicious churros for dessert, and a very good mesquite cocktail - as well as a very good quantity of food. Thelma is so sweet and went above and beyond by helping me get to the Frida Kahlo Casa Azul house, which was the next stop on my itinerary. I have found every tour I've taken with Sabores to be excellent.

Eat While You Admire the Architecture of Colonia Roma (CDMX)
Our tour of Roma came two days after our tour with the same company in Coyoacan, and the quality was just as good. Our tour guide, Camila, was so charming! She made easy conversation with everyone and was knowledgable about the history of the neighborhood and aims of each restaurant we visited. This tour was great because it allowed for a lot of sitting and talking between restaurants with other people on the tour (we wer 8 in all). This group leaned more mature (average age around 60), but this may have just been a coincidence. At any rate, everyone seemed able to enjoy the experience. From ceviche to mole to specialty coffee, this tour was first-rate.

You can do more in Coyoacan than just see Frida Kahlo's home!
What a wonderful way to learn more about the foodways of Mexico! Our guide, Thelma U., cheerfully walked us through the various restaurants and market stalls in Coyoacon providing a sense of the variety of food and history of the community. We enjoyed so many flavors over the 3 hours together, from agua frescas to huitlacoche quesadias. Thelma even stopped at a small tortilla stand just to share with us a treat she enjoyed as a little girl growing up (fresh tortilla with a dash of salt). It was a sunny day in Mexico City, and the tour was long enough to get a bit of a sunburn, so word to the wise if you are sensitive: Wear a hat and sunscreen!

Originally couldn’t imagine a 5-hour food tour but time went by almost too fast. The 8 of us were so lucky to have Angell as our guide. Angel is fun, a great story teller…some true and others I’m not so sure of. He knows his country’s food and history. This very fun tour included multiple tastings at 6 different restaurants and shops. I learned a lot and was introduced to many new dishes. Be prepared for some surprises along the way, including mystery dishes and a few edible insects. Great tour: Food and History. I can see why this tour is so highly rated. I absolutely recommend the tour, especially if you can get Angel to lead you.

Oh. my gosh, what an incredible food tour! We did the Roma food tour with our amazing guide, Mariana. From start to finish, everything was perfect. I recommended booking with them for any of their food tours. We chose this tour company because they focus on locally-owned, women-owned, and community-focused restaurants sharing the stories and people that make the restaurants, and that is exactly what we got. I loved all the food and restaurant choices - everything was so tasty. The stops highlight Mexico's culinary diversity. This tour is vegetarian-friendly, and the veggie options were top-notch. Mariana was such a gem, and the added history and cultural context into the Roma neighborhood was much appreciated. All the photos included are the vegetarian options. My friend doing the tour with me did the more traditional foods, which were different offerings.
