5 hours felt like 5 minutes!

Love seeing the city through the food!!! We have been on so many food tours around the world. This would rank as one of my favorites for these specific reasons 1. We were handed a well designed brochure that included the names of all restaurants we visited. Suggestions for other places to eat. Discounts for doing so. And a walking map of where we were so we could get back 2. She has flash cards. I am a visual learner and this helped me lock in info 3. Josette! Well I just want her to be a life long friend. She was kind. Accommodating. Fun. And you could tell that people that she worked with at restaurants through the tour really enjoyed her

Informative and Delicious

This tour was well worth the time and money. Tammy, our guide, was very passionate during our five plus hour tour. She was so much fun! We learned a lot about Mexico City and Mexico and the food -- so good! We had eight tastings at six different locations. We were definitely full by the end. I highly recommend this!

An insider’s guide to Mexico City’s eats

A fabulous day out familiarising ourselves with the vibrant Roma Norte food scene. This is a city of 25 million people - eating out every day for a year will not touch the depth and breadth of offerings in this city. This is a great way to take a back seat and allow a seasoned professional to take the reins. Show you their favourite spots and eats. Which is what Tania, our warm, friendly and knowledgeable guide did. You will not leave hungry. We covered at least 7 destinations - each with a sizeable bite and beverage.

Do this… if you do nothing else… Do this, it’s that good

We’ve just had the most amazing four hours with Johana. I feel like I won’t need to eat for a week. We went to places I know we wouldn’t have found on our own. Each was delicious. We were very lucky as there were only 5 in our group. Johana was very knowledgeable and gave us lots of info and answered all our questions.

Filling and fun!

We had a great time exploring some of the foods of Mexico City. Our guide Joanna, was lovely and told us lots of interesting things about the food and the area of Roma Norte. And the quantity of food was actually too much for me - although everyone else in the group managed to clean their plates. No dinner needed after this afternoon tour. It went at a very nice pace, with nice walks in between each tasting. We stopped at 6 places but several of those places had more than one dish to try so trust me when I say it was a lot of food!!

Not your typical food tour

Our host Camila was accommodating and informative. She gave us some excellent history facts and explained every morsel we were about to consume. Everyone felt included and well taken care of. If you have any aversion to dairy, coffee, gluten, alcohol, etc and/or are interested in sustainability, this tour is for you.

We had an excellent evening with our host, Luisa. She had an amazing personality, obviously enjoys her job, and was knowledgeable about the tacos and the mescal. The tacos, oh the tacos. Absolutely amazing diversity of tacos, ending with the true king, al pastor. Each Taquería we visited had a story, courtesy of Luisa, and we even got to skip the long line at the Michelin Star “El Califa de Leon.” Do they deserve a Michelin Star? Who cares!?! Their taco was amazing. Who does deserve a Michelin Star is Luísa and this food tour in general. Everything was smooth ranging from sitting down to tacos or mescal, listening to Luísa, or transportation from one place to the next. Loved it!

This food tour at Historic Center was amazing!! We were a group of 2 adults + 2 kids (age 9 and 7), and our tour guide was a wonderful young lady "Jimena". All of us felt that this food tour was the highlight of our visit to Mexico City. The food we got to taste were very unique, interesting, fun, and flavorful. Definitely learned a lot, tasted a lot, and had a great time! Highly recommend and thank you Jimena you were the best!

We took the food tour with Natalie and enjoyed it very much. We got a tour of the Roma area of CDMX and tasted food at six eateries. While they were all good, my favorites were the vegetarian options. Pink tacos with Hibiscus tea at La Pitahaya Vegana and a cactus dish at Broka Bistrot. Natalie was a fantastic guide and also helped me shop for some Papel picado while we waited to be seated. Food tours are a great way to sample food that we may never have found on our own. A great break from the more touristy venues. I highly recommend it.

Fantastic food tour in the center of Mexico City!

We try to do a food tour in new cities that we visit and this one was one of my favorites. Our guide Dana was a charming, knowledgeable host. She not only gave us history about the food we tried but also history about Mexico City. We were introduced to a variety of foods in restaurants, a market, and a food truck. I would highly recommend this tour (and highly recommend Dana).

Amazing food tour MUST DO!!
