Amazing tour! Tammy was our tour guide and she was insanely knowledgeable about the history of the area, restaurants, and the food. You can tell she loves her job and prides herself on being an excellent tour guide. Just be aware this is a lot of food. But an excellent selection of tacos from all over Mexico with a great mezcal tasting. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the CDMX area.

Warm Hospitality and a Relaxed Stroll Through the Historic Center
I took the Historic Center Food Tour with Sabores México and had a pretty good time overall. Our guide, Tania, was super friendly and made everyone feel welcome, which created a great group vibe. The pace was relaxed—we never felt rushed. As for the food, it was a bit hit or miss for me. I really enjoyed the ceviche, the fruit salad stop, and La Mascota, but the rest of the tastings weren’t quite to my taste. If I had to choose, I definitely preferred the Tacos and Mezcal tour with Sabores México—it had more consistent flavor hits for me. Still, this tour is worth trying if you’re curious about the Historic Center and want a chill intro to local bites.

Joss was a fun, passionate guide who made the tour hugely enjoyable. It was great to learn a little about the history of the city as well as the role of food. Some really interesting tastings as well!

Loved the tour, the tour guide, and the history stories. Market was awesome to see. We did not care for most of the foo. Surely there is better food in the city. This was not it.

Our tour guide was lovely...
Our tour guide was lovely and the tour was a great way to get a feeling for a few neighborhoods and what the locals eat, but unfortunately both my partner and I got very ill that evening after the tour and had to stay in bed the next two days of our trip. We were careful about drinking bottled water so we think it was from one of the stops on the tour. Perhaps the tour needs to better vet the stops to be sure that the cleanliness of each shop is up to serving sensitive American stomachs

We had a brilliant afternoon with Tamara, tasting delicious food and learning more about this historic Centro district. She said she had 3 goals: for us to leave stuffed, entertained and more knowledgeable, and she succeeded 100% on all three. This tour is a must do in Mexico City.

Montserrat was amazing! She made sure to get to know us and our food preferences before the tour. She was very knowledgeable about the history of Mexico City. All the tacos were delicious and since we had three kids with us we opted to end with tasty churros instead of the mezcal portion. Would highly recommend. Make sure you come with an empty stomach!

I had an amazing time on the Tacos and Mezcal Tour with Sabores México! Our guide Natalie was fantastic — super knowledgeable and made sure I was able to stay totally gluten-free the whole night. The tacos were all great, but the Al Pastor at Taquería Selene was next level — seriously the best I’ve ever had. The mezcal was delicious too, and I learned a lot. Great vibes, great food, and a fun way to explore CDMX. Highly recommend!
