We found this tour through a blog and are so glad we did! Tammy greeted us with high energy, a warm smile, and so much enthusiasm — the perfect way to kick off the day. Although it’s a long tour, it didn’t feel that way at all because Tammy was incredible. She made everyone feel comfortable — with her, with each other, and in every spot we visited. Every place we stopped at served delicious food, and we learned so much about the rich history and culture behind Mexican cuisine. Tammy’s passion truly shines through. She made the entire experience fun, informative, and absolutely worth it. Highly recommended!

Discover the Culinary Side of Colonia Roma

Our host Tania was extremely thorough with the details about each stop and each dish, she took time explaining us about the cultural aspects of neighborhood and kept the group engaged throughout. They were also accommodating to our allergies and dietary restrictions. Definitely recommend this tour for foodies.

Discover the Culinary Side of Colonia Roma

This Roma Norte food tour was outstanding—Tania, our guide, was warm, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the food and culture. Every stop was thoughtfully chosen, with a perfect mix of traditional and modern dishes, plus great drink pairings. A delicious and insightful way to explore Mexico City.

Thanks Stephanie

Stephanie is the best! The food is good, but she’s the star of the show. I learned so much about Mexico’s history, traditions, and food

Fun visit to several spots for light bites and some neighborhood history with Camilla(?). Good range of dishes, some standouts, and a nice way to get to know Roma Norte better!

Tamara our guide has been so informative and helpful today. She knows a lot about the city and the history and shared a lot of very interesting stories about the food spots and owners and historic figures. We really learned a lot in the tour about the history of Mexico and the city. She also has been so thorough with everyone’s allergies, restrictions and dislikes and helped us at every spot that we got food that we can safely enjoy. Two of the three of us in the group has multiple restrictions and we are definitely grateful that we were accommodated. All the food we have tasted has been amazing and interesting. Definitely highly recommend this tour for people who want to enjoy some awesome food while learning a bunch of things of the culture, the city and the history of this wonderful country.

Delicious Food Tour in Trendy Roma with Wonderful Guide

I have traveled to countries in Central, East, and Southeast Asia, North and Southern Africa, Latin America, and Europe. I have always believed that I am able to learn more about a culture via its cuisine – and that, although dining at world-renowned restaurants is exciting, it is the meals at everyday restaurants that locals visit that allow me to have a better glimpse of the local culture. For this reason, I was really excited to go on the Colonia Roma food tour. I enjoyed the food tour with my host, Tania. I loved that she was very enthusiastic about the food scene in the Roma neighborhood as well as the architecture of this now-hipster neighborhood. I enjoyed her vignettes about each of the dishes and restaurants I sampled. Because I did this food tour several months ago, I do not remember all the dishes that I tried. I know that most of the dishes were vegetarian and very delicious. I remember eating at Broka Bistrot, a restaurant situated in a lovely courtyard. In a country of beautiful and unforgettable courtyards, this one stands out in my memory. My favorite place was our last savory stop, Mux. I liked that the chef’s dishes were based on recipes passed onto next generations by non-professional women keeping alive their regional traditions. The food I tasted was, of course, very sumptuous! By the time we headed to our dessert stop, Helado Bonito, I was very full. But, of course, I had to have dulce de leche ice cream together with Tania (the only time she ate something together with me). I highly recommend this food tour. I was able to sample a range of authentic Mexican dishes in the tree-lined trendy Roma neighborhood with my knowledgeable (but not haughty) food guide, Tania

(Translated by Google) This food tour of Mexico City is incredible! The guide is fantastic, and you can even mention any food intolerances. We ate in nine different places (don't eat breakfast beforehand or you won't be able to finish everything 😅), from street food trucks and stalls in the covered market to a typical canteen and some more upscale restaurants. The tour also included a visit to the main buildings in Mexico City's historic center. Expect the tour to take closer to five hours than three and a half, but you won't regret it. We were a great group of nine. Thanks again to our guide!
