very leisurely tacos, tamales, and more
While visiting new cities, we like to take a food tour to get a feel/taste of the new city. Often, we try restaurants/cafes/markets we would not have chosen on our own. Camila was our guide. She was knowledgeable and the 6 stops were delicious. However, having been on 24 previous food tours, this was the slowest moving tour of them all! Many of the previous food tours phoned ahead and let the restaurant know we were coming so that our tables/food/drinks were ready within 5 minutes. On this tour, we spent more than 20 minutes waiting for either our table or food in 3 out of 6 stops. The food tour took 4 hours but it could have been done leisurely in 2.5 hours. If this company can speed up the pace, this will be an awesome experience.

This is an amazing way to see the city. Tiny little treasures. Tucked into dynamic neighborhoods. We ate wonderful food and learned about Mexican cultures. Carlos was our guide and by, the end of the night, our friend. If you get the chance, ask for Carlos. And come hungry.

Fun stories and history along with Food!
Lovely, organized and informative. We visited 6 different food spots from a big market to more intimate, all with typical Mexican foods. Tamara was amazing and wonderfully animated. She explained the history of the food we were eating, along with detailed stories about buildings and people. I highly recommend this tour. We never would have known about these places on our own. Don’t miss this!!

Elba was a wonderful tour guide, very knowlegeable and friendly, and she took us to some wonderful spots. Gave us a great overview if Roma Norte as well. Highly recommended.

Alma was the best tour guide, and I can’t recommend her or Sabores Mexican Food Tours enough. She is incredibly knowledgeable about Mexican cuisine and its history, and her passion really shines through. This tour was the perfect way to spend our first night in Mexico City, and Alma deserves all the credit for making it such a memorable experience.

Thoroughly enjoyed our Coyoacan tour with Jossie!! The stories were informative, the food was fantastic and our guide was the best. She had infinite patience for my kids and we all said it was the highlight of our trip. Most importantly, we left with very full bellies! A must do in Mexico City.

Prepare to be very full! The whole family really enjoyed this experience. Tamara, our guide was warm, friendly, passionate about food, and very knowledgeable. I love both eating and learning, so it was perfect for me. My 16 year old son said, “The history stuff was cool and it gave me some time for the food to settle.” She was also thoughtful about the foods we said we didn’t like. Also, I at a worm. Haha!

We had an amazing Tacos and Mezcal tour with our expert, friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating guide Monse! I try to go on at least one tour when I visit a new city, preferably earlier in a trip so I can get a good sense of the location, history, and local food and this tour hit and exceeded the mark. We ate at places that I would likely have never visited, along with ones that I would have, but because of the tour structure, you get to skip any lines and get right to the tacos! Don't fear Mezcal either, if you're only used to the exported, overly smoky stuff, keep an open mind when trying local small batch mezcal, it's truly exceptional and a great way to break-up the rich tacos you will be eating. This also wasn't an alcohol heavy tour, though Monse offered to get us more drinks at any stop, so you can basically choose your own adventure. In addition to the great tour, we were also provided a detailed pamphlet with all the stops we made plus an additional 15 more places to check out, with recommended items to try!

Wonderful food tour! Our guide Josette was warm, knowledgeable, and passionate about sharing the best of Mexico City’s flavors. She overheard that it was my son’s birthday and surprised him with a special sparkler treat at the end. Truly a memorable experience and fun meeting others on the tour. Come very hungry!

I had a great experience on the Coyoacan tour. Jimena was a wonderful tour guide. Not only did I get to try a lot of delicious food, I got to learn a lot about the history of the dish and restaurant serving it. Highly recommend!
