Fantastic food experience—unique tastes of Mexico Coty

This was a wonderful tour led by Jimena. We had a great variety of foods, styles, savory and sweet, street food, traditional, gourmet. There was just the right amount of walking (less than I anticipated for a five hour experience but enough to help with the digestion). We heard about the history of each place we visited, as well as historical, regional, and gastronomical context. Several places were women owned. Foods were definitely Mexican but also things we wouldn’t have sought out on our own. Everything was super tasty. Be prepared to be full by the time you’re done (so pace yourself). Great value, too. Highly recommended. Thanks to Jimena for a fantastic experience!

I had an amazing experience on this food tour in Mexico City and would absolutely recommend it. Everything was very well organized and perfectly on time. Our guide, Angel, made the experience truly special with his great energy and engaging storytelling. He shared fascinating insights about Mexican gastronomy, culture, and history and also took my personal interests into account. The tour itself is very thoughtfully designed with a great mix of stops: elegant restaurants, a lively food market, delicious street food, and a traditional Mexican restaurant that ended up being my personal favorite. It was a fantastic way to experience different sides of the city’s food scene. The tour lasts about five hours, so it’s quite extensive and not just a quick activity. But if you want to explore the historic center, learn about the culture, and taste a wide variety of foods, it’s absolutely perfect. For me, it was exactly what I was looking for and I’m very happy I booked it.

I had such a great experience on this food tour in Mexico City and would absolutely recommend it. Everything was very well organized and perfectly on time from start to finish. Our guide, Angel, truly made the tour special. He had such a positive energy from the very beginning, was incredibly engaging, and shared fascinating insights about Mexican gastronomy, culture, and history. He also took my personal interests into account and made sure to explain many details about the food scene in Mexico, which I really appreciated. The tour itself is very thoughtfully designed. We visited a great mix of places — from elegant restaurants to a vibrant food market, delicious street food spots, and a traditional Mexican restaurant that ended up being my personal favorite. One thing to keep in mind is that the tour is quite extensive — about five hours — so it’s not a quick or light activity. But if you’re looking to really explore the historic center, learn about the city, and experience a wide range of food, it’s absolutely perfect. For me, it was exactly what I was hoping for. I wanted to get a deeper understanding of Mexico City and its food culture, and this tour delivered that and more. I’m very happy I booked it!

Wonderful Food Tour

We loved our Roma Norte food tour! We learned about the history of the neighborhood while sampling delicious food. Each of the five stops included a unique and delicious food and drink pairing. Overall it was a wonderful way to spend the afternoon and a great start to our Mexico City vacation.

Johana was our wonderful guide on the Colonia Roma Food Tour. All of the tastings were delicious and spotlighted some amazing Mexican culinary experiences. In between the stops, we were seamlessly guided through the area, seeing and learning about so much that we would have never discovered on our own. Despite having a very fussy one-year-old in tow, Johana and the host locations were so incredibly accommodating it felt like we were with friends. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone who wants to learn more about Colonia Roma or eat some really excellent food.

Fantastic food tour experience

Great experience! The guide Josette was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and fun! We learned about and tasted a wide variety of foods, walked a ton and saw some wonderful neighborhoods and architecture. Great value for money and a wonderful, in-depth intro to Mexico City history, culture and cuisine. Hi go Lu recommend!

Excellent food tour

Josette did a great job. It was a large group with a lot of big personalities, and she handled everyone very well. And it was a huge amount of food to sample. The tour was quite varied. I loved that we went to a market, as well as restaurants - and even a bar and a candy shop. We also got bits of history along the way.
