Amazing trip
My mom is 81 and she had an amazing time. It was nice they had a bench seat for her to set on. and a cushion for the person on the bottom of the dog sleigh. It was an amazing experience.

Victoria led us on a beautiful ride through the trees, across frozen river and lake, while on the lookout for wildlife. Her “tailgate” instructions were clearly presented for a safe and enjoyable ride. She gave us several opportunities for photos and chances to switch drivers. Our group of 6 had a wonderful time with Victoria in the lead!

Wonderful experience!!
Dog sledding is a must if you are visiting beautiful Alaska. Rods Alaskan guide service is top notch! They provided us with all the gear we needed to be comfortable in the elements. Our guide was Jimmy and he was the best!! His dogs are beautiful and such a treat to watch them work. The facility is really nice and bathrooms are extremely clean!!

We didn’t want to leave!!
Luther was awesome!! His dog team was the sweetest and took us on the best tour. I could tell that Luther was very passionate about sledding and taking care of his pups. I wish we had booked the 2 hour tour because it was such a great experience, we weren’t ready to leave!

Worthwhile and fun experience!
On this trip to Fairbanks, I wanted to experience dog sledding. We could not have picked a better outfit. The people checking us in were super friendly and helpful. They checked out our cold weather gear and loaned us better gloves so we wouldn’t get cold. Our musher, Jimmy, was very friendly and informative. We chatted the whole way about the dogs, their diet and exercise schedule. He stopped halfway to let us interact with the dogs and take pictures. His dogs are so adorable and sweet! This was definitely a worthwhile experience. I highly recommend it!

Aurora fishing was a success.
Mike did a great job. Very knowledgeable and a pleasant demeanor. He took good care of us. The cabin was warm and clean. The fish was cooked to perfection.

Great Alaskan experience!
Our ice fishing adventure was awesome! My wife and I were paired with some other groups and we had a great time laughing and getting to know everyone. We all caught multiple fish. Our guide, Trevor was so friendly, helpful and super accommodating! We even got to enjoy a beautiful sunset and do a little sledding. The fish and reindeer sausage they cooked for us was delicious. A+++ experience, highly recommend!

Snowboarding in Alaska
Had so much snowboarding with Rodney, we were able to see three mouse on the tour! We left at around 2:30 pm and the sun was hitting just right so the lighting was perfect for photos. Rodney was super sweet and even took photos of us on the bikes and before we headed out gave us time to practice and get use to handling the bike. The bikes were also super nice the helmets were heated as were the handles (Definitely use them in high).

Mexicans in the North Pole!!!
We love this!!!! Victoria is the best, she was friendly and knowledgeable, explained every single detail of the ride and took photos of us at the stops we made where we were able to see a moose. Also we stopped at the salmon fishing cabin. Recommend this tour good value for money.

Amazing experience with amazing guides!
My wife and I had an amazing time with Luther and Luke! They were incredibly informative, friendly and kind and we were so grateful for their patience with us as we obsessed over the dogs. I can't recommend better guides or a better experience. They made sure we were comfortable and warm and gave us plenty of time to hug up on the dogs!

Memorable experience
The experience was so pleasant and fun from checking in, getting the right clothes and being on the sled. Everyone was so kind, hospitable and made the experience so fun. Deke was a great musher and told us so much about his dogs and the mushing culture. It was memorable afternoon.

Loved it and learned a lot
We had such a great time! Joe was friendly and knowledgeable. His explanation of the different dogs’ personalities and histories made us feel connected to them. We learned a lot from what he shared about his experience dog sled racing and gained an appreciation for that sport. The dogs obviously enjoy every minute of it and so did we!

Ice Fishing with Trevor
We had an incredible and memorable experience ice fishing at Rod's. The beauty of the Alaskan winter landscape was breathtaking, walking and being on a huge frozen lake was so cool, and the warm cabin, where we fished, was so cozy!! Trevor, our guide was fantastic – knowledgeable, patient, and clearly passionate about ice fishing. All the necessary equipment was provided and Trevor expertly guided us through the process, especially for us first-timers! For us, ice fishing in the cabin made the experience much more enjoyable since we didn't have to be outside freezing the whole time. Even though it took a while to hook the first fish, the thrill of feeling that first tug on the line was exhilarating......and every tug after! As a group, we caught all different kinds of fish, which was cool because we got to see and taste the different species. At the end, Trevor perfectly seasoned and grilled a fish for everyone. It was pretty cool to eat something you caught! Even if you don't catch anything, the experience itself is worth every minute. A cool bonus feature of our experience was meeting Harriett, the local bald eagle that hangs out by the cabins. Trevor threw out a few fish heads for her to eat and she got real close to us to munch on her snack. I have never seen a bald eagle that close in their natural habitat. Alaskan wild life in it's true beauty. I highly recommend ice fishing at Rod's to anyone looking for a unique and unforgettable winter adventure. We had such a fun time!

Luther and Joana were friendly and informative. Learning about their backgrounds and love for their respective dogs was heartwarming. You can tell they love what they do and the dogs are so friendly and LOVE the attention and RUNNING!!
