More than escobar tour
It was a great story about the difference between coca bushes and cocaine, and how cocaine once acted as fuel for war in Colombia. I really enjoyed the storytelling — it was engaging and interactive with the audience. I highly recommend this tour; make sure to book it for yourself! It’s absolutely worth the time, and you won’t be walking the entire time. There are long stops where the guide shares fascinating stories.

The tour details the story of cocaine in Colombia through 4 different lenses: chemical processing, Colombian politics, economic incentives and violence. Anyone with any intellectual curiosity in Colombian history or the realities of the drug trade will greatly enjoy the tour. Personally, it has made a great impression on me. Pablo is an exceptional guide, very passionate and highly knowledgeable. The value is unbelievable considering the effort and time he invests.

A delicious way to learn about Colombia!
My family couldn't speak more highly of this tour and the company as a whole. We had so much fun walking through Laureles and trying all of the delicious food in the area. Our guide, David, was super knowledgeable and fun to spend the afternoon with! We loved the tour so much, we booked another (Barrio Transformation) almost immediately. What I appreciate most is the way the tour company is dedicated to authentic and culturally-focused education for visitors. For families considering the tour- do it! Honestly, this should be mandatory for anyone visiting Colombia in order to see and understand this country with more consciousness and context. Pablo is an extraordinary guide: extremely passionate, deeply knowledgeable, and an exceptional storyteller. He explains complex historical, social, and cultural issues in a way that is clear, engaging, empathetic, and thought-provoking. Many moments gave me goosebumps, and the way the tour is designed — with the narrative structure and its carefully layered elements — was better than a movie. If you care at all about ethical and conscious travel — if you want to move beyond the surface and the stereotypes — this tour offers exactly the insight you need. I would honestly return to Medellín just to take more tours with this company. This was one of the most meaningful and grounding travel experiences I’ve ever had. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

An eye-opening experience that you must go to if in Medellín!
This tour was one of my favourites I’ve experienced out of any so far. The depth of detail that was gone into was incredible and I feel as though I’ve come away not only gaining significant insight and knowledge into this huge part of Colombia’s history, but have also learnt the importance of our ethical duty as tourists to not feed into the companies/tours/tourist experiences that still fund existing criminals and their empires (because they sadly do still exist!!) Pablo - thank you for sharing your stories. We will endeavour to pass them on to all who are willing to listen!

Highly recommend any of their tours - especially beyond escobar!
We have done the centro walking tour and the ethical escobar tour - both were fantastic. Carolina took us on the centro walking tour and Pablo on the ethical escobar tour. Both were super knowledgeable and great at answering sometimes complicated questions. The Escobar tour I think is particularly worth doing - this isn't information that is always accessible, at least from this victim - centred point of view. The level of detail is incredible, you learn so much. Thank you both what an awesome tour company you have here!

Tolle und spannende Tour!
Hernán war ein unglaublich guter Gruppenleiter. Er hat uns sehr leidenschaftlich die Geschichte seiner Stadt erzählt. Die Tour verging wie im Flug! Wir sind die Straßen um Centro gegangen, wo wir alleine vermutlich nicht langgegangen sind, weil wir unsicher wegen der Sicherheit wäre. Hernán hat uns jedes Mal erklärt wir sehr wir hier aufpassen müssen, aber nie dabei Angst gemacht. Das war toll!
