Absolutely amazing tour
The tour with Pablo was absolutely brilliant. He is incredibly passionate and knowledgeable, clearly put a huge amount of effort into this experience. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Medellin.

I had an amazing experience exploring Medellin historic walking tour with Hernán. He was incredibly warm, honest, and genuinely attentive from the very beginning. His explanations were clear, insightful, and truly added depth to the whole tour — you can tell he really knows what he’s talking about and cares about sharing it in the best way possible. He made the group feel comfortable, kept the atmosphere fun and engaging, and answered every question with so much accuracy and honesty. It’s rare to find a guide who is both knowledgeable and this personable. I left the tour feeling inspired and with a much deeper understanding of the area. I couldn’t recommend Hernán enough — if you’re in Medellín, this is the person you want to explore with. Truly a 10/10 experience!

Very good tour through old town Medellin!
It was great! Carolina is a great guide. She tells the real story of Colombia and Medellin, with humour and lively insides. Do this tour of you want to see the interresting old town of Medellin with his rich history. Thanks Carolina of the tour and for your great tips: we loved Sabaneta (which we wouldn’t visit if it wasn’t for your recommendation)!

Interessant, boeiend en leerzaam
Een super interessante wandeling door de echte stad. Niet alleen de mooie gedeeltes, maar juist ook het echte leven hier. Het was een enthousiaste gids waar we veel van geleerd hebben en we alles aan konden vragen. Hernan is echt van hier, en dat kun je merken. Top!

City tour under warm weather.
The day was quite warm, about 30 degree, but the weather was good. We were late for several minutes but we were still able to join later. The route desing is weise, that you don' t need to walk under the sun for a long time, but can seat and listen to explanation about the whole Medellin city. I find it more worthwile to do than the Communal 13 one, since it's about the whole city and I could sit for half of the time.

Excellent tour - Julio gave such a detailed and interesting history of Medellin. Really recommend this tour! It takes about 3 hours but doesn’t involve too much walking.

Unmissable experience!
The Historic Walking Tour with Julio was my first experience in Medellin — we woke up and joined them in our first morning in the city — I don’t believe there’s a better possible introduction to the city as this tour. Julio is an absolutely amazing guide, he’s knowledgeable, witty, open and as excited as us to show us his home city. When you come to Medellin as a foreigner, you come with a pre-conceived notion informed by movies, series and documentaries that glorify only a small part of what makes the beautiful Paysa people and their history of tragedy and reconstruction. As a local, Julio doesn’t allow you to be stuck in those notions, he opens your eyes to the people around you, their customs, their life, their breath in the everyday center of Medellin — both to the good, and the bad. Do yourself the favor of learning with him, because it’s a one in a lifetime experience. I ended up signing up for the “More Than Escobar” Tour with him, as well, and as he mentions “it’s a college class in an afternoon” that opens your eyes to decades of both bloody but hopeful history as well. It’s a safe space to ask your questions, interact, have fun and learn. Had I more days, I’d surely go on another and another because there’s no limit to how these thoughtful tours can open your mind to Colombia. ❤️

Our guide Pablo explained everything clearly, engagingly, and without any sensationalism. We learned a lot and highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for an honest and insightful perspective on Medellín’s history. Incredible, Important Tour w/ Amazing Guide
Incredible tour and guide. This tour provides such interesting, important, and holistic context on the politics and economics of the drug trade and conflict and violence that came with it. I lived in Medellin for months before taking this tour and it taught me so much I hadn’t known before, plus brought me to new and beautiful places in the city. Pablo, the tour guide, is extremely knowledgeable and passionate. I’ve gone on many, many walking tours and this is one of the best without a doubt. Could not recommend more.

Such a fantastic and unique tour. The picture cards Pablo, our guide, used to communicate made everything incredibly easy to follow. The content is very substantive putting the Escobar story in historical, economic, and cultural context.
