The best time at Lake Moraine and Louise

Jacob was our guide to experience the Canadian Rocky Mountains in and around Banff National Park. What a Great Experience! Our touring visits this day included: Moraine Lake (my favorite spot of our entire trip), Lake Louise, Lake Minnanwanka, sites of the Upper & Lower settlements, Bow Falls, and a fantastic Wild Life Adventure trip to see wild animals in their natural habitat. Jacob was very friendly which made our whole day’s trip more enjoyable. I particularly appreciated how he cared and helped both my wife and me while we walked on the more difficult portions of the “steps” to the Rock Pile at Moraine Lake to get us there safely. I cannot stress enough how enjoyable this trip was for both my wife and me. A trip we have waited many years to make and see all these sites in person. I had an absolutely wonderful experience on our Banff National Park tour! Our guide Jacob was not only knowledgeable but also incredibly personable, making the entire day so memorable. Jacob showed us the iconic Moraine Lake, Lake Louise, Minnawanka Lake, and Bow Falls to name a few-each stop was breathtakingly beautiful. I would like to recommend increasing the time to really soak in Lake Moraine as it definitely is the highlight of the lakes visited. We even had the thrill of spotting bighorn sheep along the way! What made the tour extra special was the way Jacob shared the rich history of Banff, the park, Alberta, Canada, and gave us insider tips on other beautiful spots to explore on our own. His passion for the area truly shone through, and it made us appreciate the Rockies on a much deeper level. If you’re looking for a tour that’s informative, fun, and filled with unforgettable scenery, I can’t recommend Radventure enough. Many tours to choose from are available. Much care was given to ensure I was enjoying the trip and Jacob was so kind to help with maneuvering the terrain. Truly a 5-star experience!

Wow! What a great 2 days we had with Radventures!! Dan was our guide for both days. The first day we did the Best of Banff National Park Adventure and the second we did the Hidden Gems adventure. Dan was very knowledgeable about the area and he was a lot of fun! He was even able to make the turn to Takakkaw Falls (both ways) in one go (this is quite the feat!). We lucked out and got a private tour both days. Even though there technically weren’t enough people to run the tour, the company still held them, which was amazing. We saw so many beautiful places and we even saw a bear and some elk! I couldn’t recommend Radventures more.

Great Experience
An excellent way to see many of the Banff highlights w/o the hassle of driving. Our tour guide, Bee, was outstanding! She was so personable and friendly. She was extremely knowledgeable about the area and shared many facts and anecdotel stories with the tour group. Be sure to ask for her when booking your tour.

The best tour company in Banff

Highly Recommended
As we were the only guests, this was a private tour with Liam. He loves what he does and it showed in the way he described the lakes, glaciers and mountains we saw along the Icefield Parkway which was a long and beautiful drive. There were stops at Bow Lake, Peyto Lake, Waterfowl Lake (with actual waterfowl) and Bridal Falls. As we kept going the air grew more and more hazy, almost sepia-like in color, and the sun turned from white to yellow to orange. Liam was excited to walk on the glacier itself with us as it was his first time doing this tour too but it was called off by the Icefield Centre staff. We did the short hike to get a decent view of the glacier from afar though but it was a letdown. To make up for that, Liam fit in visits to Emerald Lake and finally Takakkaw Falls which was stunning. We learned about climate change, wildlife, avalanche paths and weeping aspens, but also shared our opinions and experiences on other things and it made for a great time. We made a new friend in Liam on this tour and would recommend Radventures highly because of him.

Unforgettable Views
Rae was our guide and she was bubbly, knowledgeable about the lakes and mountains and so helpful too. This was our first tour and our first visit to Banff. In my opinion Moraine Lake was the highlight, a bit of a walk up the Rockpile to it but so wonderful to sit in the quiet with a cup of coffee and a blanket and see the colors change as the sun came out. One could make their way down to the water's edge as well, or walk back to another trail along the lakeshore. There was enough time to get breakfast on the way to Lake Louise so we didn't prepay for that, and during that stop Rae helped me upgrade our next tour and recommended some other hikes we could do in and around Banff. Lake Louise was beautiful and very crowded but we had enough time on the tour to walk to the other end and back. I found it pretty cool to see the lake surface color change from light to dark during the walk. On the way back, some elk came into view in the woods so she circled around for everyone to take a second look. Overall a really great experience with unforgettable views.

Banff Highlights & Wildlife Tour with Gondola Review
Our guide Ollie was great! He was very knowledgable about all things in the tour. He made the trip fun and informative. We even saw some long horned sheep. The sunset at the top of the gondola ride was biblical!

The Hidden Gems Tour was a great experience. The small group size was a big plus. Our guide Bee was extremely passionate and very knowlegable. Although the spots visited where not too hidden afterall they where very beautiful and fascinating nonetheless. Would recommend!

Mountains and sunset
This was a lovely tour led by a great guy! We were a small group so Taylor was able to make time for all of us and to ensure we had a good time. Moraine Lake involved a bit of steep step walking and I appreciate the encouragement he gave me so I could get to the best viewpoint. He spent time pointing out the glacier features and the impact on the mountain. At Lake Louise, which was busy due to the glorious weather, he suggested we walked away from the first viewpoint and we were able to get much better photos and peace to enjoy the scenery. As far as animal viewing went, we had a great experience watching a young male elk as well as enjoying the chipmunks running around. Thank you for a great evening.
