Very cold but lovely tour
Lubo was our guide and was very kind , calm and informative . We were fortunate enough to see deer and Elk very close. The History of the area was really interesting and the hot chocolate was gorgeous . We will definitely book again when we return in the summer .

important information
the tour itself was EXCELLENT and tess was a wonderful tour guide. but if you book this, contact radventures directly to order lunch and rent equipment like snowshoes and skates. you cannot do these things through viator and you cannot do them after you've left. but there's no place on the tour to get lunch. either bring your own or order directly through the tour company.

We had a great time with Nolan on the Johnston Canyon night walk and stargazing trip. From the moment we were picked up to our drop-off, Nolan was an attentive, knowledgeable, and engaging guide. We enjoyed several once‑in‑a‑lifetime experiences, including standing in total darkness and stargazing at the Lower Falls. The experience was both fun and memorable. We also learned fascinating historical details about Johnston Canyon, Banff, and Alberta. Nolan truly created a personalized and memorable experience, and his passion for this part of the world really came through. The hot chocolate was a wonderful touch as well. Wonderful Winter Wonderland
Our guide, Simon, was incredible. He picked us up in a clean van, told us a bit about the area, guided us on the hike, made hot coco and smores, and guided us through all of the high lights. He even took lots of family photos and was so great with our children. We really had a great day!

Do it!!
Outstanding tour and gorgeous views! Our guide, Rey, was super friendly and thoughtful and very knowledgable on the area. The hot chocolate after the hike was perfection. Booking the tour saved a lot of time and headache on dealing with crowded and cramped parking lots. I really liked the small size of the group also. Would definitely recommend.

Simon was a great tour guide
Our group enjoyed the Johnston Canyon frozen waterfall tour with Simon. He was really friendly and informative. We appreciated having the crampons and trekking poles to keep us safe on the icy trail.

Outstanding Experience
This experience was full of fantastic views of Banff, our guide Lubo was very knowledgeable of the history of the area, very friendly and accommodating. We saw a group of elk, bull elk fighting, which was exciting, mule deer, and white tail deer, and also some sites that you wouldn’t see if not on this tour. Lubo went above and beyond so our family had the best experience! We highly recommend Radaventures.

Excellent experience with our guide Lubo. Knowledgeable and enthusiastic and we loved the tour. Breathtaking scenery. Comfortable 4 hr bus trip with several scenic stops, and delicious hot chocolate snack. Thank you Lubo!

Frozen Banff adventure!
Every stop on our tour was fantastic and unique. Our tour guide Simon was excellent and provided lots of interesting information about the sites, the area, history, wildlife, etc. He was also so welcoming and friendly and made the trip really fun. Appreciated having good bathroom stops and multiple hot drinks along the way as well. Lunch was very tasty too.

Excellent tour shady company email
The excursion is great, our guide he was wonderful. The lake had plenty of bubbles and was nicely frozen over. All the stops were beautiful. My only complaint is it literally says in the viator page contact RAD for ice skate rentals. I literally did several days before and was met with a, oh you booked with viator we can’t rent you skates but if you cancel with viator and rebook with us you can then rent skates. So basically was being told cancel, rebook so we don’t have to pay Viator anything and then we’ll let you rent skates. Seemed like shady way for them to avoid paying Viator a booking fee, if you don’t honor what it says on Viator don’t be on here on the first place. I kept my Viator booking and simply walked on the lake. We considered renting in town and brining them ourselves but opted just to walk on the lake. Again let this take nothing away from the tour and the guide but the office is trying to avoid viator bookings.

If you’re looking for an authentic Banff experience, look no further than RADVENTURES. This fantastic local operator provided the perfect tour for NYF and South St Burger team. Our guide, Charlie, was the star of the show. His knowledge about Banff tourism is incredible—from wildlife patterns to the stories behind the mountains. He presented everything in a way that was engaging for both the adults and the kids in our group. He was incredibly polite, attentive, and had a great sense of humor. Being a small company, the tour felt intimate and tailored. RADVENTURES clearly cares about creating meaningful connections, not just moving people through a itinerary. Charlie’s passion is a testament to that. We learned so much, saw breathtaking sights, and had a genuinely wonderful time. Five stars aren’t enough!
