Very disappointed, I visited the Polynesian cultural center. I must advise. Do not attend this attraction. It is very expensive. The performers are tired and not enthusiastic. This is run by Mormons and I was approached to join the church. I’m not happy that I was ripped off, but hopefully I can help others to avoid this attraction. The presentations were not authentic and were glossed over with regards to total history. I’m sorry, but I’ve studied Polynesian history and this is a travesty. My advice avoid this and at all cost.

This place is full of culture, has many activities to do available, and has many places to eat and shop. Beautiful and so clean!

The production value is on par with a Disney operation, but the PCC (and the entire town of Laie) is wholly owned, operated, and profited by the Mormons / Church of Latter Day Saints. Much of the "staff" are BYU students or otherwise unpaid missionaries. Be prepared for whitewashing and proselytizing while walking the grounds. From what I understand, none of Polynesian cultures represented were even consulted about their respective exhibits, except the Hawaiians who actually founded the center after being converted in Utah in the early-mid 20th century. I don't mind religious attractions or parks, but it seems reeeeeal slimy not to be more upfront about the PCC's affiliations. While they don't actively hide it, they definitely don't announce it, either.

This was such a beautiful, engaging, and educational experience. We took our school group and had a wonderful day immersed in and celebrating all the various Polynesian cultures. The different island centers were so incredible and distinct, and the canoe presentation and then the Ha: Breath of Life show were so incredibly stunning and powerful. We all learned so much about the cultures and peoples represented and left feeling so enriched and grateful to those at the Polynesian cultural center for sharing with us and the other visitors. Highly recommend this experience to everyone visiting Oahu.

Amazing!

I personally enjoy it a lot because I love water, islands and polynesian culture. (Context: I’m not polynesian) it’s like a mini-disney focused on polynesia. It’s family friendly. There’s food places and buffets in packages. Also the show is a must-see! Plan your north shore around this with an early morning beach run / garlic shrimp / or papa ole’s short ribs. But yea get here early if you want close parking or just come later around 2 or even 3 is fine. The jokes are a bit cheesy but i love it haha. Ride the canoe! Probably better to come weekday to avoid the crowd.

Had an awesome time with a guided tour by AJ. She was very personable and made the few hours we spent together fly by. All of the activities and visiting the islands experiencing the different cultures has left us with many stories to bring back home to our friends and families. The luau was solid and the Breath of Life show was incredible. 10/10.
