This is a must see if you want to experience the cultures of Hawaii& Polynesian cultures. We booked the Super Ambassador tour which gives you a private tour guide to help navigate and get to all the islands in the allotted timeframe before the Luau. We got reserved seating at the 6 island events with no waiting in lines. Great seats at both the luau and the evening show, Ha The Breath of Life. This show was amazing as it guided you through a storytelling background of Polynesia, birth, life, death, and new birth. The show ended with an amazing fire show. The men and women who perform throughout this event put so much heart and energy into the stories of their ancestors (plus humor and interaction). There is so much to see, you can use your pass for 3 days after the event so you can take more time for the activities in the 6 individual island areas representing Hawaii, Fiji, Samoa, Tahiti, New Zealand and Tonga. This is activity is great for families and adults.

Our family absolutely loved the Polynesian Cultural Center, taking advantage of the Super Ambassador pass. From the moment we arrived we were offered refreshments and snacks while waited for our private tour guide, Aaron, who provided us each a lei. Heading to several different “villages”, Aaron was thoughtful in his stories and very personable, making us feel very comfortable. Aaron also was diligent about taking family photos which was super nice. Once we played some games and viewed some shows we were ushered to the luau where we were given pineapple smoothies (delicious) and introduced to Alvin, our lovely waiter. The food was a large buffet and we really enjoyed the main courses and sides. The desserts were a bit lackluster but overall it was great. After dinner we went to the show which was unexpectedly wonderful. It wasn’t a traditional show but it was informative and really put together the entire day of activities which made us feel apart of the show. While the cost may seem expensive, it really was a full day experience and we would recommend doing it to anyone that enjoys an immersive experience. Two things to note: 1) think of this more like Epcot, you aren’t actually visiting real villages but the way they have designed each village is very cool and 2) we didn’t realize the employees were students at BYU. No matter your take on that religion, it’s not ours, we loved supporting students who otherwise wouldn’t have the opportunity to attend college!

Born, raised, and live Oahu, but I drove out to the country side with the fam and extended fam to check out the PCC. I haven’t been here since 5th grade sleepover field trip, so like our tour guide Echo said, it was “new to us.” Anyways, 5-stars for this experience. As mentioned, our tour guide was a young BYU-Hawaii student (most of the performers/employees here are) who has a great personality. He easily connected with the adults in the group as well as the kids. He was funny, personable, and super aware of what we had in mind at any point in the day: restroom, snacks, photo opp? He was flexible, yet used his knowledge of the PCC grounds to maximize our time there. All of the performances and presentations were a lot more entertaining than I expected. These guys are multitalented. They are not only great teachers who are patient with their guests but they are extremely passionate about passing on their knowledge of the different poly cultural aspects. Another guy who stood out was braddah Kap. This guy can fire dance, climb one 20+ foot coconut tree, and create world-class art. If you blink, you miss it, but braddah is amazingly funny with an awesome almost stand-up comedy style of delivery, balancing with a serious passion sharing his culture. The Luau dinner was 100% worth it. Food was ok. Great sampling of local style dishes if you’re visiting these islands. Something for everyone. Veg options as well! All the workers were so welcoming and friendly. The MC, Aunty Sai is the epitome of everything that is Aloha about Laie and our islands as a whole. She truly cares about people. Go check em, you’ll see what I mean. Lastly the “Ha” show after dinner was awesome. Pro-style small-kine Broadway production style, but keeping it real for the culture. I don’t wanna spoil nothing, but I don’t even like these kind of drama things, but this was truly badass. All in all, 5-stars. If you’re visiting our island, you gotta book this place and make it a whole day affair. We spent 9-hours here, and although I was worried I was gonna miss game 6 of the nba playoffs, the 9 hours really did fly by. Truly an awesome time. I walked away from this place feeling proud of my home. Nowadays, I always hear people say that the Aloha spirit is dead—not here in Laie. Go check em out.

It's a unique experience that transports you back in time to all the Polynesian islands. Each one shows you their culture and dances. You learn so much from each one that you already feel like visiting the other islands.

Polynesian culture center rate review for Luau package. We had the absolute pleasure of having Alex from Philippines as our tour guide at the Polynesian Cultural Center, and he was truly exceptional. From the moment our tour began, it was clear we were in the hands of an expert. Alex’s knowledge of each Polynesian island’s culture, history, and traditions was impressive—he explained everything with clarity, passion, and just the right touch of humor. What made Alex stand out even more was his personal touch. We absolutely loved how he warmly referred to us as “my family” throughout the tour—it made us feel welcome and connected from the start. He even took the time to learn and call us by our names, which made the whole experience feel personal and genuine. Alex is amazing at what he does and truly has a gift for making people feel seen and included. He kept our group engaged the entire time and made sure we didn’t miss a thing. Whether it was guiding us through cultural performances or sharing behind-the-scenes stories, Alex brought every part of the experience to life. He was also incredibly organized, made sure we stayed on schedule, and gave us great tips to make the most of our visit. We left with a deeper appreciation for Polynesian culture, all thanks to Alex’s expert guidance. Highly recommend him to anyone visiting the center—he truly made our day unforgettable! Special thanks as well to Nadia, our server during the Luau dinner. She was so warm, attentive, and made sure our table was well taken care of throughout the evening. From keeping our drinks filled to checking in with a genuine smile, she helped make the dinner feel extra special. Her hospitality perfectly complemented the spirit of aloha that the center embodies. Mahalo Hawai’i 🌺🐚
