Grab lunch before the entry time so you can enter on time and find seating in the shade for the canoe dancing. The host of the Tonga show was hilarious! The seafood on the buffet is worth every penny. Ha Breath of Life was a great show. Try to hit a new area either at the top of the hour or at 30 minutes after. I think I preferred starting a new area at 30 minutes after the hour because there was more open seating.

So much to see and do, allow yourself plenty of time to explore the villages. If you arrive early, the markets and restaurants are open to do some shopping and have lunch. The shows are appropriate for all ages and are very entertaining.

It was nothing as advertised. Nothing was open. It was so boring and a huge waste of money. We left in 20 minutes.

We had such an amazing time at the Polynesian Cultural Centre. At first, we debated on which package to purchase but ended up with the Super Ambassador Package, and it was such a great choice! It started off with a tour of the Polynesian islands, and Roslyn, our guide, was fantastic! So informative and allowing us to experience each of the sites that were key for us. Getting to learn about the history of each island was really insightful! It was really sad to leave Roslyn, but thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and being with us during the time! We then went to watch the Aliʻi Lūʻau buffet and learned the story of the Queen. James, our server, was so polite and kind with us! Thank you for making us feel welcome! The food was amazing, and seeing the imu was such an experience! The Lūʻau performance as well was just wonderful to watch. We ended the night with the HĀ: Breath of Life show, and I can see why photos and videos aren’t allowed during the show. The story and entire show were simply breathtaking to see. Everyone apart of the show did an amazing job! Overall, this was a wonderful way to learn about Polynesia and get to know the history and culture of each island. Having a private guide and reserved seating really does make a difference, and it was a wonderful way to enjoy the cultural centre. Thank you so much to everyone there!

A Transformative Journey: Why the Polynesian Cultural Center is a Must-Do in Hawaii From the moment you step onto the grounds of the Polynesian Cultural Center (PCC), you are transported. This isn't just an attraction; it's a profound, vibrant, and genuinely heartwarming journey across six distinct Pacific island nations. If you are looking for the absolute best way to experience the diversity and spirit of Polynesia, the PCC is, without a doubt, an essential stop on Oʻahu. The sheer authenticity of the cultural villages is what sets the PCC apart. Each village—representing Hawaiʻi, Fiji, Aotearoa (New Zealand), Samoa, Tahiti, and Tonga—is a living, breathing museum. What makes the experience so genuine are the student ambassadors, primarily from Brigham Young University–Hawaiʻi, who hail directly from these islands. They share their traditions with an infectious enthusiasm and pride, turning simple demonstrations into engaging, hilarious, and educational performances. Learning the hula from a native Hawaiian or watching a Samoan guide climb a towering coconut tree had me completely captivated. My highlight: the mid-afternoon Canoe Pageant!! Costumed performers float down the lagoon, presenting dynamic dances from each island. It’s a breathtaking spectacle that beautifully summarizes the day’s journey. The chance to participate in crafts, try traditional games, and learn a few basic phrases made the experience deeply personal and interactive. Every detail, from the thatched roofs to the carved war canoes, reinforces the feeling of having genuinely traveled the Pacific. The experience culminates with the world-class evening show, “Hā: Breath of Life.” This production is an epic, visually stunning performance that uses fire, music, and incredible choreography to tell a story of love, life, and the connection to the land. It’s the perfect, unforgettable finale to a day of cultural immersion. It is an all day excursion if you want to soak in everything... or spread it out across the three days your ticket is valid. (The super ambassador package) the history, performances, shopping, food ~ nothing here was a miss. I HIGHLY recommend checking out the PCC!
