We visited on Christmas Eve (the best time!) and it was absolutely lovely how everyone in the park wished you a Merry Christmas. If you're interested in island culture and nature, this is an absolute must-visit when on Oahu. Most performers and staff are students from nearby universities. Before coming, I too wondered whether such performances might constitute cultural appropriation or the commercialisation and spectacle-isation of culture. However, the short film shown within the park described it as 'cultural survival', a perspective I wholeheartedly agree with. It was an honour to learn about the beautiful island culture from so far away. The park offers numerous hands-on craft activities and daily tastings of freshly baked coconut bread (in the Tahiti part). The final buffet at the gateway was thoroughly satisfying, and the Hā performance was of above-average quality. All in all, with the shuttle from Waikiki, the buffet, and the show, it was well worth the $170-odd per person.

Very enjoyable experience. Some people will be put off by the connection this place has with the Mormon church. I didn't have a problem. The grounds are beautiful, you are treated very nicely by the crew and cast members who are all going to BYU Hawaii which is adjacent to the theme park. The shows are fun and there is a lot you can learn in the park. We went with a guided tour which was nice. I feel I could do a whole second day there. There was much we didn't experience. Your admission entitles you to multiple day entrance, but limited or not available on days that are expected to be really crowded. I did not go here on my first 3 trips to Hawaii but did this time and was glad I did. I would go back as we were unable to go a second day due to our schedule.

Not worth it. We wasted entire day there.. Our kids hated it and we did not enjoy that either. Commercialized place which has nothing in common with the real Polinesia. Do yourself a favor and skip this place at your trip in Hawaii. There are much better things to do in Hawaii than this.

My absolute favorite part of visiting O’ahu!! I don’t think I stopped smiling the entire time I was there. Definitely get there earlier as opposed to later to give yourself enough time to see every island and watch as many of the performances as possible. Great place to bring kids as well with lots of fun and interactive activities everyone can do. And don’t skip out on the buffet!! The Taro rolls are delicious 😋
