A must see for all visiting Hawaii. The best shows, we learned about island culture and history.

Very friendly staff that are mostly attending the local BYU campus. My family and I got VIP tickets and attended the Lu’au for dinner. The meal was a 6/10 for me. Our tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. There are several stops at different islands within the grounds to learn about the different cultures. Several shows to relax and enjoy. Great experience overall!

AVOID!!! This place is owned and ran by Mormons / the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints who don’t support the local Hawaiians or their culture. Don’t give them your money! Check out the bishop museum for history and culture, or toa luau for luau (or any other place owned by actual local Hawaiians).

This is owned and operated by the Mormon Church. There is a Mormon Temple on the grounds. The vast majority of educators and performers are students at the Mormon college, BYU. We had issue with the Mormon church educating us about Polynesia, as it can lead to bias in the information. Case in point, there was no discussion of the traditional religious or spiritual beliefs of Polynesian cultures, which have largely been supplanted by Christianity at this point. Overall, we were not okay with being taught about Polynesia by Mormon college students, whether they are Polynesian or not.

We recently visited the Polynesian Cultural Center, and I can't recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel right at home. One of the highlights of our visit was the food at the marketplace. The prices were incredibly reasonable, especially considering the quality and variety of the offerings. The theater show was simply outstanding! The performances were captivating, and the talent on display was phenomenal. It truly felt surreal to experience such rich cultural storytelling through music and dance. The energy of the performers and the beautiful visuals made for an unforgettable evening. Overall, the Polynesian Cultural Center is a must-visit destination for anyone looking to immerse themselves in Polynesian culture. The combination of delicious food and incredible performances makes it a fantastic experience that I can't wait to revisit!

The only great thing here is free parking. Cultural appropriation at its worst.

Wonderful cultural and overall touristy activity to learn some new things! Amazing to get to walk around and see all the different cultures. Walking around was very nice and the abundant amount of benches made it pretty nice for all ages and activity levels. We also booked the show and would recommend but it did get a bit chilly. TIPS: Recommend taking the boat right off the bat when you enter cause it'll take you to the other side and then you can work your way back towards the entrance cause if you booked the buffet you can end your tour right there as we did notice that the Gateway Buffet did actually fill up and people did have to wait for a table. TIP: My wife got a bit chilly at the show so might recommend bringing a light jacket. I took a photo of restrictions so make sure you check it out before you go!
