Great experience. Get the ambassador package. It's well worth it. Spend more than a few days here.

I am so grateful I had the opportunity to submerge myself in so many cultures, learn about their history and feel so connected to their sacred cultures. I loved the tour guides personalities, and the gateway food was AMAZING.

Overall, a beautiful place to visit. Very clean with friendly staff and lovely grounds. It reminded me of Disney’s Epcot, except much smaller and only for Polynesia, but I was VERY disappointed in the modest costumes worn by the hula dancers during all performances (we saw the opening canoe ceremony, the Queen’s Aloha Luau and the Ha Breath show). I should have expected the prudishness, knowing the PCC is run by the LDS church, but it did not cross my mind until we were watching the opening ceremony show and I thought “huh, why are the women all wearing onesies under their skirts?”. This is my 4th luau and I will not go back to this one. In fact, we were bored during the Queen’s Aloha Luau, so we left before it was finished and went to wander the shops before the Ha show. You really cannot see anything when they dance, except their arms moving. What fascinates me about hula dancers is their skill and athleticism and the art of hula dancing. When the women are wearing long flowy dresses, you can’t see any of the hip movements. The men were often wearing long sleeves and long pants. Really? Is that culturally accurate? Oh my heck no! On the occasions that the men were shirtless, their skirts still went down to their knees or below, so you couldn’t see their leg movements, which are a key part of the hula dance. If you want a great luau, try the Chief’s or the Warriors. We also did the guided tour, which was okay. The tour went from 12:30 to 4:35pm, after which we did the 5–10-minute walk (we took a wrong turn and had to double back) over to our luau and all the front seats were taken (turned out to be fine for us since we left the luau early, but if you want a front row seat – best to arrive by 4:30). Our guide was exceptionally kind, but seemed new at her role and a bit discombobulated at times. She seated us in the back for 2 of the shows, when there were plenty of closer seats to fill in. I’m tall, but could hardly see anything. Also, when you are in a large group (12 or so), you spend a lot of time waiting for people – using the restrooms, buying snacks, trying to find and gather everyone after an island show. If you are a patient person, perhaps do the guided tour. If not, I suggest going on your own. You will not be able to see everything in one day regardless. Our ticket gave us 3 business days to come back after our first day, but they are closed Sundays, we had plans Monday, and we left Tuesday morning – plus it’s about an hour drive each way from Honolulu. Luau food was quite diverse. I’ve never seen so many food options at a luau – even octopus in the poke section (my fav). The shrimp was delicious (breaded in a creamy sauce) and also shrimp in the poke section with an Asian inspired sauce. We all agreed the pork was bland though. They serve it with 3 types of sauces (which were needed to add flavor). I prefer a nice Kalua Pork. The tuna poke was fresh, but also bland. I tried both fishes, and they were dry and bland. One of the beef recipes was tender and tasty. I don't regret going here - thus the 3 stars - but I have no desire to go back.

The whole experience was wonderful. The activities, people, food, scenery, etc. My only wish was that the park opened a little earlier to enjoy it even longer. Will definitely be recommending to others. Particularly enjoyed our group tour guide, Ice Dale, he was great and made the day a great pace with good humor.

A must visit whenever you are in hawaii. You'll have a great understanding of the different culture of the different Polynesian islands. I didn't know the difference until I had this tour. We also had the buffet and watched Ha, the breath of life. The performers were amazing. Food from the buffet was awesome too. Numerous selections that caters to everyone's taste. I didn't capture much photos as I basked myself from the experience.

Amazing place. Plenty of food and snacking options. Coffees, desserts and lots more. We didn't plan to spend time here, so just roamed around a little and got the famous real fruit soft serve ice cream (sweet as) ... Highly recommend it, do not miss it.

AMAZING! First time in Hawaii and this experience was on our first full day of being on Oahu. Would highly recommend without question. I can see why this venue has been in operation for so long. Extremely well done from top to bottom. Definitely recommend going the extra mile and purchasing the Ambassador ticket level. The private guide Kai was a significant part of what made our visit enjoyable, educational and on schedule which allowed us to enjoy everything this venue had to offer at our own pace. The cost to enjoy the Ambassador level of privileges was right in line with what other Luau’s charge except this is much more than just a Luau it is an immersive experience that should not be missed. Also excellent for all ages. Would definitely look forward to coming here again. Was also impressed with the Market area as well. More than enough eateries, gift shops and trinket vendors are present throughout and the pricing charged for souvenirs, snacks and food outside of partaking in the Luau buffet are extremely reasonable. The value offered for the money spent is extremely fair in my opinion.
