The way it was handled I would have given a 1 star but our pilot was incredible (sorry forgot her name, I'm horrendous with names) we booked at Bellagio and nobody mention additional upgrades but when we got to the airport I noticed there were upgrades for front seats and I inquired. The lady at the front desk said no problem (they were $50 each) and I said we will take it. She said I'll call your name shortly. They gave us seat assignments and put is in the back and I asked her why and she said "the Bellagio should have booked it for you" I said I was willing to pay for an upgrade and she was just short and blew me off. Really disappointed of her service.

I booked a "private Grand Canyon tour" for myself and my friend which cost about $3400. It started out a little hectic, because we booked a limo pickup and the company would not allow us to be picked up from our location, even though it was only 10 minutes from theirs. We had to go to a hotel further away from them in order to be picked up. And the driver was 10 minutes late. Our pilot was wonderful, the facility is clean, and the staff friendly. The biggest shocker and the reason for the one star review was when we found out this tour wasn't private at all. When we landed in the Grand Canyon, 6!! other helicopters landed there at the same time. We really wanted the *private* experience of being there, which was not what happened. You'd think that at $3400 for two people, vs. the $400 we could have spent if we shared the helicopter, we would have an upgraded truly private experience. This wasn't the romantic experience for 2 that I anticipated. The picnic provided was crackers, a granola bar, a piece of cheese and cheap sparkling wine. The limo ride home was not all that great either because the car was broken and was making a horrible noise. The driver was playing the stereo up and couldn't hear us when we asked him to turn it off. This company isn't a class act. I've had a private Grand Canyon experience (and truly private) with another company some years back which was wonderful. I couldn't remember the name of the company, so I tried Papillon. I think the experience was worth $400 which is what the standard tour costs, but I feel totally ripped off for the money spent which didn't offer anything above and beyond the standard tour besides a disappointing limo ride.

I feel bad that my review represents the helicopter experience AND the ground experience, because unfortunately they are very different.. I would give the helicopter experience we had 5 stars! My mom and I really enjoyed our tour with pilot Chris (from Norway)! He gave great picture opportunities, created a fun atmosphere with his jokes, pointed out excellent landmarks and gave interesting history/backstory to go with it. On the other hand, the ground transportation they have is an absolute mess. The “limousine” was 20 minutes early and called my mom asking where we were. After clarifying we were on our way down, driver Ben texted my mom saying that he was in a “black van” (his words). Even they know they don’t have a limo! Ben was very nice and welcomed us onboard where there was other people there (which was not communicated). We went to the Rio and after 10 minutes of waiting, Ben was redirected to go 15 minutes out (and back) from where we were to pick up a different couple instead (overall, at least 45 minutes in the initial pickup van for a supposed 7 minute drive). After the incredible helicopter experience, we head outside to find Ben. He politely asked how the ride was and we made small talk and almost on the way to the ACTUAL limo to go back to our hotel when he was quickly redirected to drop off another couple first. Clearly thrown off, Ben apologized and told us he would be back for us soon. After about 40 minutes and multiple contradicting stories about what happened, another guy came in and took us all who wanted to just leave. We went out to another black van and he drove us back, and luckily there was only one time he slammed on the breaks and our heads ended up in our neighbors laps! After speeding, he somehow dropped us off after an hour of being in the “limo.” We think it’s not any of the Papillon staff’s fault as they genuinely look like they are just as confused with the instructions they’re given as we are, but rather the dispatchers’ disorganization. Overall, Ben, Joyce and especially Chris were great but the “limo” service was very sketchy. If you want a limousine experience, book your own instead of using theirs.

A Must!!! I honestly don’t even know where to start… Their service is outstanding! They treated me extremely well and had an Awesome Experience! This was my second time riding in a helicopter and would definitely be coming back. I only did the night city tour, but want to go back and head out to the canyon for the day. They have really confortable seats and premium Bose headsets. They played some nice tunes while ridding around town and really enjoyed. Highly Recommended!!! You’ll have a Blast!
