We had a great ride to the Grand Canyon, over Lake Mead and the Hoover Dam. Had a 30 min champagne lunch at the bottom of the canyon and got to feed little squirrels. Steven, our pilot, was amazing and answered all our question. We even found out he was stationed in Germany for a few years, which was an interesting fact for us as I had family visiting from Germany. Due to bad weather our trip had to be canceled at first but got rescheduled to the next day. Even got champagne while waiting for the limo to take us back to the hotel. The staff checking you in and showing you the safety video is little motivated but you won't spend much time with them anyways. It was such an awesome experience and I would do it again.

Then we returned to the Papillon airfield. Afterward, we were taken by bus to the Hover Dam, and from there the rafting tour began. However, it was more of a leisurely stroll. No action whatsoever. We didn't even need life jackets. Furthermore, the trip lasted more than 2.5 hours in the blazing sun. So don't forget sunscreen and a hat! During the trip, we were provided with a great lunch box, and we were allowed to keep the cooler bags as souvenirs. Overall, it was a lovely day! Auf der Fahrt wurden wir noch mit einer tollen Lunch-Box versorgt, von der wir die Kühltaschen als Andenken behalten durften. Insgesamt war es ein schöner Tag!

Although our party was quite scared about flying, the experience was very good! We had an awesome time - once in a life time opportunity. The narration during the tour was mediocre and hard to hear. It would have been nice if we had more opportunity to know exactly how the helicopter tour worked. Overall, it was quite good!
