This was a giant waste of money. I did the strip tour which is about 10 minutes long and I knew that. But what they do is put 2 people in front and yes I paid extra for both those spots. Then they fly over the right side of the strip around it and back. So the only spots that see the strip is the pilot and the one person behind him. the two front ones get a nice view but don't expect to see the strip. The three other people in the back really didn't get to see much. I went in knowing this was an extremely expensive flight but I really thought I would at least see the strip.

We booked a last minute Grand Canyon helicopter tour during our Vegas trip. We went for the sunset flight and enjoyed EVERY MINUTE! The pickup was by minibus and the driver really friendly. When we arrived at Boulder City we were checked in quickly and were offered to upgrade our seats to the front of the helicopter for $60 each. (We’d 100% recommend doing this, well worth the extra!) We were introduced to our pilot, who was clearly very skilled and informative but also friendly and easy to chat to. Shared loads of cool facts about the trip and canyon in between a pretty epic flight playlist! Landing in the canyon was breathtaking and gave us the perfect amount of time to soak it all in. Our trip included a picnic setup and champagne, both lovely! When we landed we were offered to buy our pictures, which were taken by the photographer earlier before our flight. There was no pressure whatsoever to buy which was nice! Our driver went out of their way to drop us back to our actual hotel instead of the arranged drop off point just over the road. A really nice touch to end such a fun day. If you’re undecided, book it!

You will not be disappointed selecting Papillon as your helicopter tour company. This is the 2nd time I have traveled with them and enjoyed the experience immensely. As an ex Navy mechanic, I was very observant of the condition of the helicopter. You could tell they take very good care of their fleet. They are very professional and very informative during the ride. And the views are amazing. Give them a try. You won't be disappointed.
