St Emilion half-day Wine Tour

It’s a whistle-stop tour of beautiful St Emilion village, followed by a very interesting look around a vineyard in the most glorious setting nearby. The drive out is smooth and the vehicle comfortable. There is an opportunity to look around St Emilion but it’s only for a short time. You will feel that you need to return for a more in-depth look. The wine tasting was a fun and interesting experience and our tour guide was very knowledgeable - and quite opinionated about the wines we were tasting! I felt we learned a lot and enjoyed the tasting… perhaps some light snacks alongside would have been nice, in addition to the biscuits provided? A quick and easy drive back - even through heavy Bordeaux traffic. Overall, a lovely afternoon and one I would be happy to repeat. Thanks to all concerned.

Lucas was our personable guide for the four gems of Alsace. This tour would be a great introduction to the charming half timbered wine villages and turbulent history of this area. Highly recommend!

Pascal was our guide and did an EXCELLENT job. He does these tours frequently, but it felt like he was doing it for the first time by how excited he was to tell our group the different stories. It also felt like he was intentionally planning our time so we could get the most out of the visit.

First-rate private tour.

We actually did this tour from the port of Honfleur, where our guide Lou very conveniently picked us up with our luggage, returning us to check in at our hotel that evening. She gave us a good introduction to the run-up to D-Day (in perfect English) on the longish drive to the first stop, Pointe du Hoc, and excellent descriptions of events there and at Omaha beach; the tour also included the beautiful American cemetery at Coleville and our guide also found an excellent restaurant for lunch. I don’t think we could have chosen a better experience.

Emilie was amazing and very passionate, she was also very funny. My son and I had a great time 100 percent recommended, she took the tome to booked lunch reservations in a local restaurant. It was great everything was amazing!!

Our tour guide Matt was the best guide we have ever had on any tour (and we have had a lot) my kids (14 and 16) were enthralled - he brought to life one of the most critical events of world war 2 and immersed us into what it was like. Ophorus is lucky to have him- if you book this tour ask for Matt!

Rodolphe was absolutely fantastic! He was the perfect driver and guide for our Bordeaux wine tour. Not only is he deeply knowledgeable about the wines and the region, but he is also hilarious and incredibly accommodating. He even went out of his way to pull over for scenic photo ops when we asked! Rodolphe is such a gem —five stars!

Brilliant day trip, comfortable shuttle transfer. Our trip also included a guided tour of the abbey, this made our trip! Our guide Theo was very knowledgeable and helpful. Great guided tour with some time alone to have lunch and a wander.
