Took a full day tour of DDay beaches with Pascal. He was phenomenal. Knowledgeable about history, he explained and taught the tour so much, it added to the understanding and the overall experience of what we saw. Entire day exceeded expectations. Would highly recommend this tour.

★★★★★ An Exceptional Day Exploring the Alsace Wine Region This wine tour was one of the absolute highlights of our trip to Strasbourg. From booking to the day itself, the tour company was easy to communicate with and made everything seamless. Our guide was fantastic—extremely knowledgeable not only about the wines, but also about the history of the Alsace region. As we traveled through the countryside and charming villages, she shared fascinating stories about how the region changed hands between France and Germany over the centuries due to various wars. It added so much depth and context to what we were seeing. One of the most interesting things we learned about was the white stork, which is an important symbol of Alsace and explains why you see so many stork souvenirs throughout the region. Our guide explained that storks have long been associated with good luck and local identity. We spotted several of their enormous nests, some measuring well over a meter across and built high on rooftops, church towers, and specially constructed platforms. We also learned about their migration patterns, as many of the storks traditionally spend the winter in warmer parts of Spain and Africa before returning to Alsace each spring. Hearing about the successful conservation efforts that helped restore their population made us appreciate even more why the bird is celebrated everywhere we went. The wineries were outstanding. Each winery provided approximately 6–8 samples, which was far more generous than we expected. They were also happy to offer red wines and other varieties that weren’t normally part of the tasting when guests expressed an interest. The hospitality and flexibility were greatly appreciated. We especially enjoyed having free time for lunch and exploring one of the beautiful small towns along the route. The half-timbered buildings and cobblestone streets looked like something straight out of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. Another thing we loved was the small group size. With only seven people on the tour, it felt much more personal and engaging than larger tours. There was plenty of opportunity to ask questions, interact with the guide, and enjoy conversations with the other guests without ever feeling rushed or overlooked. The tour lasted from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and was the perfect balance of wine tasting, sightseeing, history, and free time. We left with a much greater appreciation for Alsace wines and the region itself. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys wine, beautiful scenery, local history, wildlife, and small-group experiences. It was an outstanding day from start to finish.

Did the full day D-Day Landing Beaches tour with our guide, Valentin, and it was awesome! Valentin is extremely engaging and knowledgable, sharing everything he knows with us. The mini van that we travelled in was clean and comfortable as well. Will highly recommend anyone who is in Bayeux to give this tour a go!
