Beautiful Alsace and wonderful wine!

We enjoyed a wonderful wine tour. Our guide, Pauline, was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. She not only guided us to three unique wineries, she made sure we had an opportunity to visit several charming villages in Alsace along the way. I heartedly recommend this tour, and would book it again.

Only worrh it if can get one hour alone time in village

Just make sure you know that you don't get inside the castle at all. There is no time to walk on the rampparts either. You get a little time to walk through the village with the guide and take a few pictures. Out alone time was cut short because we were waiting for another person to show up for at least twenty minutes! Then when we were supposed to have an hour on our own to explore this was cut down to half an hour!! We should not have been punished for another guest, not showing up on time. We were all very disappointed and especially me ,since I've always ever wanted to go to Carcassonne ,and because I won't be back to France again☹️

Alsace at its best - a great guided tour by Carlos

Carlos was a great guide. His commentary on all things Alsace was informative and entertaining throughout the tour - especially the little detours to see fantastic views, special sights and, of course, any stork chicks that happened to be in residence. The three wineries were an excellent sample of the variety in Alsace. Carlos had also arranged for us to taste two Grand Crus - an unexpected and superb treat. The Alsace wine trail is such a beautiful area, we definitely recommend this full day tour.

Highlights of St Émillion

Small group of eight. Guide was helpful, knowledgeable, and personable. Wineries were very nice, yet different. Experience of walking through the village of St Émillion was unique—like going back in time. All the wines were superb. Did not have time to visit the 800 wineries in the grand cru appellation.

We had a fantastic day with Laurence, she is french and shared with us not only all her knowledge, but her family history in the Alsace region. She even took us to the village that she lives at now, Obernai. During the tour she drove through back roads rather than taking the highway and the landscapes and villages we drove through were beautiful, directly out of a postcard. The wineries we visited were excellent. Laurence is a sommelier and she gave us the first testing. We had lunch in a beautiful village, Ribeauvillé. Laurence gave us recommendation for the restaurants and the 8 participants of the tour had lunch at the same place, Au Passage de la Tour. I highly recommend this restaurant. It is decorated with Alsacian theme and the attention and food were really good. We tested at least 12 different wines and had the opportunity to buy wines from each winery at their price, that is of course cheaper than buying it in a store and try them in a restaurant. We loved the tour!

Fabulous 4 hour/2 wineries tour!

Tour with Ophorus, scheduled thru Viator was fantastic! We arrived in Strasbourg on a Viking Cruise but opted for a small group wine tour (Mac 8 people but our group of 6 ended up with a “private” tour). The tour was well organized, communication was excellent, started punctually, visited 2 lovely wineries , and we had a GREAT guide, Carlos! He was knowledgeable, friendly & fun! We enjoyed all aspects of the 4 hr tour & highly recommend Ophorus & Carlos!
