We thoroughly enjoyed a half day wine tour with our guide Violetta who was terrific: friendly, professional, respectful, cheerful, enjoyed her job and was a excellent driver. From Strasbourg we enjoyed a scenic drive through several small towns and a panaramic view of the area. We visited 2 family owned wineries where we tasted white wines with the hosts who were lovely towards us, clearly proud of their wines and explained a lot about them. It was informative and enjoyable. We meet 4 others on the same tour and enjoyed discussing wine and travel. The ophorus group provides clear information on the tour and meeting point and send regular reminders. Recommend them highly. Its our second tour with them.

We loved the convenience of this and the fact that our driver, Maggie, interesting and engaging and shared lots in interesting facts along the way. Getting to Mont St. Michel is a must to avoid the summer crowds, and this made it easy to do. The day went perfectly according to plan and was well coordinated.

Primeira vinicola visitada horrível na qualidade da visita em si como na qualidade do vinho. (Prichine) Pessoa que nos recebeu não foi cordial. A segunda visita foi razoável (Margaux). Mas nenhuma com padrão de visita agradável (já visitamos Mendonza, África do Sul, Chile, EUA...). Sempre recebidos com aperitivos e a oferta de vinho para apreciação também, não somente para um gole. Quando gostávamos do vinho, não julgavam adequada a segunda dose. Muito desagradável isso.

We did a half day wine tour from Strasbourg visiting 2 family owned wineries. It was the second with this group after our first in cotes des nuits. It lived up to our first experience. The guide Violetta was terrific, friendly, respectful, cheerful and discussed the area and wines. The hosts for the wine tastings were welcoming and clearly proud of their wines. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The vehicles were really comfortable and airconditioned. Our guide was a good driver. A bonus is that ophorus give clear information about the tour and pickup point and send reminders, which is helpful.

Alex, our guide, is incredibly knowledgeable about wine and the wine making process. We thoroughly relished his expertise and delighted in the choices of the two wineries we visited. The first, Mas de Cadenet, is a family owned winery; it began in 1813. The second winery was Domaine Jas Monges, which after 70 years and four generations later, went from winegrowers to winemakers. It was a wonderful morning and we enjoyed it immensely.

Couldn’t be any happier with our experience. Our tour guide, Victor was wonderful! Victor had a great personality and was so informative about the d-day invasion and the history of the area. We thought we knew a lot of the history, but he shed light on so many things that we weren’t aware of. We had 5 in our tour and it was so personal. Even though we didn’t know each other at the start we all connected and Victor made that possible.

Great guide for St Emilion and wine tasting
An excellent knowledgable guide who made the trip to St Emilion a lot of fun. We also visited a small chateau and enjoyed both the tour and wine tasting.
